  • Where should I stay in Scotland?

We are going on our honeymoon to the UK and will be spending the bulk of it in Scotland. We will be there about 2 weeks last week April through first week May. We will have a rental car, and don't need to stay in the city. Haven't decided if we will stay in one place, or a couple nights here and there. I want to see the city and historical landmarks, as well as the countryside and small towns.

Mostly looking for towns and hotels to stay in and see!!!

  • Should I let my baby just suckle on breast?

My 13 week old loves and is instantly calmed down when put to the breast. Is it okay to let him us me as a pacifier? When he is upset we always try other calming techniques first, and they usually work, but sometimes he just wants to suckle on the breast. He is not eating during these times! Thanks!

  • Pain in pubic 12 weeks after birth?

I had my beautiful son 12 weeks ago, and the last 3 months and randomly throughout the pregnancy I had pain/pressure in my pubic bone. A couple of days ago I started getting the pain again! It hurts so bad that it wakes me up, needless to say my sleep is so precious now! :) I tried looking it up, and the only answers I get are pregnancy related...

    Thanks!

  • Is my 6 week old going through a growth spurt?

Or is he just needing reassurance? Two nights ago I was gone overnight, about 18 hours total. The day I came home was a normal eating day, although he clearly missed being breastfed. Now today I cannot get him off the boob! He seems to be eating the same amount as the previous days, but he isn't content without suckling on me.

While I was gone he was given breastmilk...

  • 6 week old standing on own?

I have a 6 week old, and he can stand on his own. He loves standing, and I all he needs from me is balance. He has been able to do this for several weeks. Recently my brother told me that his doctor told him not to let his kids do that because they could through out their hips or ruin bone development. I have not let my son do this since, and he gets very upset by it. So, my question is, is it safe to let him stand?

  • What's the best Breast Pump?

I have a 6 week old, and I am returning to work. I have a pump that my girlfriend gave me, but it is going out. I have to squeeze as it pumps for it to work. I am looking for an affordable pump that will last through the year.

Also, is it true that an electric pump is better than a manual one? Or is it just easier?

  • Is my breast feed baby gaining weight too fast?

My baby is 3 1/2 weeks old. He was born at 7lbs 5oz, and got down to 7lbs 1oz. He was 21 inches. He now weighs 11 pounds! I have been told that I cannot overfeed a breastfeed baby, so I am not too worried. He is "on demand" feeding, and he eats ALL the time:) He is a happy baby and has regular bowel movements and plenty of wet diapers.

  • As a US citizen, can I buy property in the UK?

I would like to buy a summer home in the UK, do I need to be resident? Also, I know I can stay up to six months without a visa, but is that six months a year? Or can I return after just a few weeks away from the UK?
