  • Can locations still be seen if I block someone on facebook?

You can click on a message and see where it's been sent from. Will this still be viewable by the person who has been blocked?

  • Listerine + screen = help?

So my phones screen was pretty dirty (I was cooking) and for some reason decides that a tiny bit of listerine on a qtip would help. I only did a bit and then kind of rinsed it with the other end...

I'm worried that I've damaged the screen or something because I think it feels different slightly, like it's harder to swipe my finger across it. It could be me being an idiot or me not rinsing the listerine off but if anyone could help, it'd be great!

  • Too late to get into Basketball?

I've recently found an interest in basketball but I'm not sure if it's a bit late considering most people who are playing now have been playing for years, and in various clubs and teams.

I'm 6 ft 2, 70kg, 17, and going to university/college next Year. I would like to try joining the basketball society but would you say it's likely that it's gonna be too late/hard to get myself to a good enough level?

I'll still carry on in my own time shooting hoops but I'm not very good and don't have many places to practice or people to practice with at the moment (and the hoop I have in my garden is a little low now too ;p probably can dunk on it - which shows how bad my junp is too)

  • Samsung fridge repair: thermal sensor?

I've been told that replacing the thermal sensor on my Samsung RS21 DCNS side-by-side will fix the high temps. Any idea on how to install it?

  • Recommended mouse pads/mats?

Looking for a mat for my G400, as the wooden desk I have just has a little friction that I need to overcome for really small movements, which makes it hard in gaming and in photo editing.

THe only one's I've found are the Razer Sphex and the Steelseries 4HD (thinking hard would be better)

Never had one before. Don't really wanna spend more than £20.

  • Two Satelite Cables into 2 set top boxes?

I have a Sky + box and another PVR. I don't know much about the technicalities, but I do know that two cables run from the satellite, and then into the Sky box.

I'm looking for a way to maybe split one of these feeds so that I can get at least one satellite connection into the second PVR. Would this be possible? THinkong of using something liek this : http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000NHBNII/ref=...

  • Loud noises from Samsung Fridge/Freezer RS21?

I have a RS21DCNS (something like that) and recently it's started to make a loud noise that has gradually become louder. It stops when the fridge door is opened, and occasionally throughout the day. It sounds like a motor slowing down when this happens.

We were getting a problem with the coolin where things in the fridge were warmer than the 3C stated on the panel, so I removed the panel from the front/inside of the fridge and defrosted everything - AOK, but it still makes that noise.

    Any help?

  • GTA IV on PC: Can I have two copies installed?

I'm wondering if I can have two copies of GTA installed on my PC - one on the C drive, and one on D. But, I'd want to be able to edit the one of C with mods and stuff, so I'd need it running on a different version...

  • Choosing a good ballpoint pen?

I'm looking for a new pen or set of pens for mainly writing notes, and also for exams. I'm told the Papermate WriteBros are supposedly very good cheap pens ?

Also on my list of pens I could get are the Parker Jotter, Parker Urban, Fisher Space pen or a Penmate Flexgrip. I would get a gel or rollerball but I really don't usually like how they write.

  • Editing pictures: Photoshop vs GIMP?

One of my friends has PS on his computer, or I can install GIMP on mine. But what should I do ?

I have little experience in PS and have never used GIMP. I'd be usign them to edit family shots, and photos from weddings, so I'm not professional but I want pro results (would quite like to become semi-pro too)

As I see it, I understand PS is more powerful - overkill?- but can do pretty much what GIMP can do... and is usually harder to use, so would it be worth "learning" Photoshop, or just learning how to use GIMP?

I've looking for a few games for my PC. I really liked Gran Turismo, and NFS Carbon, and also this Colin Mcrae game. I could run Gran Turismo 4 on my PC if that helps.

  • Win/ALT+TAB doesn't work?

I recently installed Windows onto a new SSD, and I've started doing some tweaks to hopefully improve performance.

However, I noticed that the usually Windows key + tab doesn't work, and when I press ALT+ Tab, it doesn't show the window previews like it does on the Windows on my HDD...
