Teens: I need gift ideas?
My sister's 15th birthday is coming up and I want to get her something, but I'm stuck on ideas. Can you give me some ideas for birthday gifts?
3 AnswersAdolescent9 years agoHomeschooling benefits/pros/cons?
I'm a freshman at our local high school. I'm doing very well in class but it's got to the point where most people don't feel safe in school. Many people in our grade have or are in the process of transferring to other schools or homeschooling and are much happier with it. I've thought about the option of homeschooling.
I talked with a close family friend who has home schooled her kids for years. She referred me to this website, http://www.setonhome.org/ , (it's catholic based, and we both are catholic) and I like what it has to offer. The tuition for it seems reasonable. When I brought the homeschooling idea up with my friend, one of the first things she said is that she would love to help me as a "teacher/tutor" since she's done it before.. I discussed it with my dad today, and he had questions but after a while he pretty much okay-ed it.
I would just like to hear:
- What do you consider to be the pros and cons of homeschooling?
- Should I wait until the end of the semester or beginning of sophomore year before I start the program?
Thanks! :)
3 AnswersHome Schooling10 years agoNeed Ideas for Back to School Clothes List?
I might get the chance to do a little bit of shopping tomorrow and I really don't have a lot of clothes I can wear to school or for when it starts to cool down outside, I'll be starting my freshman year in 2 weeks.
I have: 3 short sleeved shirts, 2 pairs of capris, 1 pair of athletic shorts, 1 pair of denim shorts (both might be against dress code.), 2 pairs of flip flops (one pair is nearly walked through), and a good number of jackets/sweatshirts, a cardigan, and I'm set on tank tops/camis.
I don't have: jeans, shoes (other than flip flops!), anything long sleeved, and very few short sleeved shirts.
I'd like to hear suggestions on which stores you like that have cute clothes, and what you would get with $200.
Thanks in advance!
