Me and My fiance are in the process of building our house and we are trying to decide on everything for the kitchen. We both really want red for the paint...either California Poppy or Ruby Ring from Behr (both are a deeper red, not fire engine). We are at a hard place though with the rest of the room. We are not sure whether we should get white, black, or stainless steel appliances. We have pros and cons of all 3 but I just wanted opinions on what other people thought would look best with red.

Also, I would love some opinions on what kind of wood we should use for our cabinets as well as what color countertops we should use!!

I'm having a couple of issues with wedding ideas. First, I don't know what to have the guest do as we leave the church. I don't want to use bubbles because it seems like everybody we know does that. What are some ideas besides maybe bubbles or birdseed.

Also, we are not sure of what to use as our "exit". We know a couple of people that left in limos and Hummers or whatever but our theme is a rustic country/fall theme so we weren't sure of how we could leave.

I absolutely love the idea of having yellow flowers so I am planning on using those. However, originally I was going to have yellow (pale yellow) bridemaids dresses. I started to think that this would be too much yellow though. Maybe white bouquets with a few yellow flowers would help tone it down. I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas on what color bridesmaid dresses I could use with yellow flowers or what color flowers I could use with yellow bridesmaid dresses....

I recently got engaged and me and my fiancee are deciding on a date. We were high school sweethearts and have been dating for almost 4 years (it'll be 4 in October). We are thinking of getting married in May or June of 2009 which will be a 22 or 23 month engagement. We are still in college but he will graduate in December and I will graduate in May. The reason we have thought about waiting so long is to save up plenty of money for a house and everything else. However, we have also thought about getting married in August of next year (a 13 month engagement) but I will have only been working for a couple of months and him for 8 months.

Any opinions??

I just bought a new pair of camoflauge shorts from Old Navy and I wasn't really sure which color tops would look good with them. Any suggestions??

He always talks about things for "when we're married" and gets excited about building a house and living together. He is taking classes at a local school and doesn't get to work full time though so he said right now he doesn't have the money for a ring. Although he always reassures me he wants to be married I'm scared that he may just be afraid of commitment.
