I'm getting tired of trying to be tollerant of other people beliefs only to have them sh1t all over mine.

From now on i'm going to become a total douche and rip the bag out of anyone who doesn't conform to my way of thinking.

....That the increasing number of Atheists is a sign that people are getting smarter?

Doesn't the overwhelming popularity of Soulja Boy kinda disprove this theory.

I know hes a 'Christian' but Atheists can't seem to get enough of the guy. Always talking about him and posting links to videos/ articles about him.

Its funny, I've never had any Christians come up to me and say 'check this dude out, hes got some pretty good ideas.' Whenever his name is brought up its always by an Atheist.

Weird.....

So, yesterday some douche posted a self-indulgent rant about how religion is the cause of all wars/ everything bad etc. I pointed out that World War I and II had nothing to do with religion.

Today I signed in and found out that my answer had been deleted and that I'd lost 12 points.

Whats the deal with that, is the truth banned or something?

I saw someone do it a minute ago and it just occured to me how arrogant it is.

So let me get this straight;

If I become an Atheist, criticize and bellitle anyone who believes in a god, and disregard any point of view other than my own, will I be a free thinker too?

What I don't get is that when your religious, lets say Christian for example, and you speak openly about what you believe you are forcing your religion on others.

But when an Atheist does the same thing its ok. Whats that about?

Why does it bother certain groups so much that a person holds a belief that they deem 'irrational or illogical'. I can't understand why someone would enjoy the music of My Chemical Romance, but you don't seem me on their band forum bashing them or trying to 'convert' their fans.

The way I see it, being agnostic is the truly 'logical' thing to do.

Do you guys just go along with anything Richard Dawkins says? or do you hope that if you repeat the line enough it will become the truth.

It used to be 'a belief that no rational person could possibly hold'

Nowdays it seems to mean 'A belief not held by Richard Dawkins'

Atheists say that they do not believe in a god due to a lack of proof. No creator would imply that the all the matter and energy etc. somehow came from nothing.

Where is the proof, how often do you see that happening in real life. So by your own logic you have to reject Atheism too.

I know this will probably be met with 'omg logical fallacy' etc. But I'll know you guys just don't have the stones to give an answer.

That certain groups around here endlessly critisize others while completely ignoring their own faults.

When did 'open minded' start meaning disregarding all points of view other than your own and acting like a complete tool to anyone who dares disagree with you.

When religious parents try to teach their children about religion its brainwashing but when Atheist parents teach their children their beliefs its just educating.
