I currently work as a used car sales associate at a local car lot. I am also continuing my education in Criminal Law. I have three beautiful children (one girl, two boys). I have many pets: 1 Great Dane and 1 turtle (red eared slider, I think). I actually spent over 12 years in hospital and Dr's offices working in everything from patient care to medical billing insurance companies. I am a certified medical assistant and certified in the state of WV to sell preowned cars.
How to reduce liver inflammation due to NAFL?
I've been diagnosed with Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver disease for a few months and have had a ton of symptoms but the worst one seems to be when my liver becomes inflamed. It affects all sorts of things, is painful, and is making me completely miserable. I've been eating better, I'm not but slightly a bit overweight, and I moderately exercise except when I feel like this. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
13 AnswersOther - Diseases7 years agoHow can a bank take money from a family member?
My sister and I have a joint savings account but we both had separate checking accounts. My employer was losing several contracts and I was only getting around 20 hours a week. I had my car payment set up to come out of my checking account and didn't have enough money to cover the payment. The bank paid it but it ended up over drafting my account and my employer finally ended up losing the account I was working and I found myself looking for another job. In the meantime another car payment hit and they did not pay it but it put my checking account further behind. My sister went to the bank to deposit money and the bank told her that our savings account was overdrawn and kept part of her paycheck in order to cover the overdraft. How does this even make sense? How is this legal or even ethical since we both had separate checking accounts? I can understand if I had the money in the savings account to cover the overdraft for the checking account but we've only had maybe $10 in it just to keep it open.
3 AnswersPersonal Finance8 years agoHas anyone else had problems using coupons at Dollar General?
I stopped in there yesterday to get some dish liquid using a coupon that I cut from our local newspaper. When checking out the cashier tried to scan it and it wouldn't go through. She stated that they were no longer allowed or had access to manually putting the coupons in. She also explained that the bar code had to be a certain size. Which the coupon did have the newer double bar code and I have read that some stores do not have the updated software so that their scanners read these new coupons. But that stores could still manually punch these coupons in. So why would you turn off that kind of a function?
1 AnswerOther - Home & Garden9 years agoIs there a way to make the "R" registered trademark symbol on a keyboard?
I'm writing an essay and using the names of some companies trademark items. I was wondering how to type the R with the circle around it to show that it is a registered trademark. Or if it is even possible. Thanks!
5 AnswersOther - Education9 years agoHypoglycemia or something similar?
Yesterday I stopped at a new local bar that a good friend of mine owns. I had eaten a decent meal around noon and then lightly snacked an hour or so before I went (which was at 4:30pm). I only drank a couple of beers and tried a couple of samples of mixed drinks that the bartender wanted my advice on. Also I was there for over three hours so I wasn't drinking fast. I was probably legally intoxicated but I was by far not drunk at the very least. I then got really shaky, started sweating, was having a little bit difficulty forming words, and then passed out. As long as I was laying flat on my back on the floor I felt perfectly fine could speak fine but I was still sweating heavily. So a friend of mine picked me back up and no sooner then I stood back up I passed out again. Then again I started feeling fine and my friend wanted to see if I could sit up but not stand up. Again I got dizzy and felt faint. So I laid down again. Shortly after laying back down the 3rd time I vomited. Of course they called the EMT's and it took a while for them to get there but by the time they did I was perfectly fine. Just felt worn out. They also had called my sister which is a nurse and she showed up at the same time as the EMT's. After examining me and taking statements from myself and everyone there who had seen the whole thing and knew how little I had actually drank they determined that it was hypoglycemia.
I chose to go home with my sister and as soon as we got to her house she took my blood sugar with a blood sugar meter and my blood sugar was only 71. She gave me her meter and took me back to get my car this morning and told me to log my blood sugar for the next few days. At noon I ate a donut and checked my blood sugar about a half an hour later. It was still only 87. Then at 1 pm I drank a Mountain Dew and my blood sugar was 104. But being very fatigued I took a very long nap but when I got up around 6:30 and at this point I had not eaten anything else I took my blood again and it was 172!!! Then I drank a large glass of chocolate milk and ate some broccoli with ranch dressing and an hour later I checked my blood sugar again and it was only 87. I'm going back to the doctor tomorrow but does anyone have any ideas why my blood sugar is so all over the place? Trust me, I usually eat pretty regularly and very healthy. Heck....today I've had more sugar than I have in months just because I knew it was running low. And I always eat several small meals a day but have been light headed and dizzy at times before. So it's like something has been going on but the climax of it happened yesterday. Any thoughts or ideas would be so helpful. I've been trying to research on the internet and haven't had very much luck since I've never been diagnosed with any kind of diabetes. I had lab work done less than 6 months ago and everything was fine at that time. Thanks for any suggestions! :)
4 AnswersDiabetes9 years agoTraining a semi feral cat?
I rescued a semi feral cat a couple of days ago. I'm saying semi feral because the cat will let you pick it up and pet it. But since bringing her home she has stayed hidden behind furniture, in closets, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions on things to do to make her more comfortable? And more social? She's not used to being inside at all and is clearly afraid. Thanks!
5 AnswersCats9 years agoQuestion about Suboxone therapy?
I have this friend who recently told me that he has been on Suboxone therapy for at least a year and a half. He did have an addiction to pain meds for 10 years. My question is, isn't a year and a half a long time to be in this therapy? He did tell me that he was recently taken off of the oral Suboxone and that he started to feel bad so his doctor gave him a new Suboxone patch. Being that I've never had to ever do anything like this I don't have the education or experience to know but at some point won't he have to kinda tough some of the withdrawals out? And if so, how much longer will it take? Thanks for any info provided.
2 AnswersOther - Health10 years agoLooking for an 80's foreign metal video?
I can't remember much about it but there was a platnum blonde hair guy that was one of the singers. It was around 88-90 and they played it on Friday night video's. They were a foreign version of a big hair band and they only had one song that I ever saw. Any help would be great.

1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoQuestion for people on dialysis?
My boyfriend recently started dialysis. They warned him that at first it may make him nauseated and that it should subside. Well, at first it didn't but now every time he goes he gets sicker and sicker. They reduced his dry weight in order to see if that was going to help but it didn't. He even vomited several times yesterday which is hard on him since he is a diabetic. Does anyone know why this is happening? or had a similar experience? thanks!
3 AnswersDiabetes1 decade agoHow do you estimate shipping on Ebay?
I recently sold a few things on Ebay. When I took these items to the post office the shipping was way more than was estimated on Ebay. I would feel safe to say that I didn't make any profit whatsoever because the shipping was so much higher. How do you estimate the proper shipping costs?
4 AnswersSmall Business1 decade agoDiabetic boyfriend was recently diagnosed w/kidney failure.?
My boyfriend was recently diagnosed with kidney failure and has been going thru dialysis. They told him today that he will eventually stop urinating. To start with, he never ever showed any of the beginning signs of kidney failure and they only found it when he was going thru preadmission testing for another surgical procedure. So I'm wondering how long it will take for him to begin showing signs of it. And will the dialysis speed that up. Also, they done a stress test and determined that his heart is only functioning at 25%. He did have a lot of built up fluid on him which was taken care of by the dialysis. Would that have anything to do with his heart problems? They done a heart cath and everything was fine. He feels fine most of the time but has problems every now and then with major fatigue. Any answers would be helpful in understanding what all is going on with him. Thanks!

2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoQuestion about Extreme Home Makeover?
My son actually asked me a question about some things about that show that I thought were quite interesting. So I was wondering if anyone knew. He asked me "If these people are really that bad off financially, how can they afford the taxes, homeowners insurance, and even the utilites to heat/cool their homes." He's only 15 but I found it to be a pretty solid and valid question. I recently enclosed my front porch and made a room out of it and my taxes went up $50. Thanks for any educated answers on the subject. I rarely watch the show but I've never heard any mention if they help the families out with such things.

5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoState laws concerning ID's and picking up a prescription?
I was speaking to a family member of mine recently and he was telling me about someone in his community breaking into his grandmother’s house and stealing her bottle of Xanax. It only contained a few pills. He then took the bottle to the pharmacy and got the refill on it. She thought she had just misplaced the bottle and knew that it was time for a refill anyway and tried to call the refill in. The pharmacy then told her that the refill had already been filled.
It got me to thinking that all pharmacies that I have been to have signs hanging up that they have to have ID to fill certain prescriptions. But I am also prescribed Xanax and have been prescribed pain medicine in the past after a surgery and have never had to show identification.
I live in WV and I was just wondering if WV or any other states having any laws concerning this? Are the pharmacies around here ignoring the law or are just not following their own policies? Does any other states have stricter laws when it comes to things such as this?
Thanks!
