  • Why in the hell did I let my wife drink so much?

Am I just a gluttony for punishment, or what?

  • Are you leaving Chase over the $10 fee?

They are instituting a new fee of $10 if you do not keep a minimum balance of $1500 average. AND if you don't do direct deposits with them. I think they are boning the lower middle class, and sure as HELL looking the other way at low income families. What is your opinion??

  • How long can you stay on your phone in a coffee shop?

Nearby, there is a douchey woman who has been on her cell since I got here an hour ago. thank God for headphones. What is the deal? '

Now I just saw a dude totally mad-dog two cute girls out of their comfy chairs. It's quite a day for douchebags today---wow.

  • How about those people with cell phones @ Starbucks?

How about those folks with their cell phones @ Starbucks? Kind of kills the atmosphere, doesn't it? Come in for a nice cup of joe, and you have to listen to Jack Checkmeoutimsoimportant rmble on about his troubles and travails to 5 different poor individuals.

Guess I am just ticked that I forgot my headphones. I know better.

But really, what are your opinions on the quickly disintegrating coolness of the coffee house in our time due to people wo can't help but tell everyone within earshot their business??

  • What is a GREAT new Smart phone?

Time for a new cell. Plan is almost up. Both our phones are taking a dump in some way or another. SO I am tossing it out to YA! for help.

We have been looking at the Samsung Galaxy, Droid X, and or Incredible. It would really be appreciated if I could get some feedback on battery life, picture and video quality; ease of texting, and access to applications such as Facebook, Twitter, YA!, yelp, paying bills, etc,.

    Thanks!!

When you're out and about, what is the thing that grabs you most about a girl? Is it the eyes, the rack, or what's in back?

Only respectful answers in good tastes please.

  • Why are so many people angry about the new law in Arizona?

The law is geared towards ferreting out ILLEGAL immigrants. If you are not breaking the law, then you should have nothing to worry about. I don't understand what the big outrage is. If you are pulled over, show your license, registration, and insurance like a regular law-abiding resident, and you will be on your way! Otherwise, you get what you get for being here "illegally" (meaning breaking the law). Why are so many angry over this??

  • Should WWII Nazi stuff be sold on Ebay?

Is it cool to sell memorabilia associated with the German army and SS from WWII? I responded to a Q here a few days ago and was really lit into, and called uneducated individual shouting from a soapbox for my answer. Upon reflecting, "maybe" I was too passionate in regards to my own personal opinion. SO, let me ask, is it moral to sell items that are associated with that dark time in history?? Is there any obligation we should have, or not? I look forward to well to your "informed" responses (regardless of my own personal opinions) Thanks.

  • What is your take on cell phone users in coffee cafe's and the like?

We are inside a Peet's Coffee at the moment trying to study. There is a yuppy (for lack of a better word) who has been non-stop talking on his cell. I wonder, is that cool to everyone? It is a public place to be sure, and if there are wireless connectioins, it invites people to park inside all day; but do you believe that there should be a limit?

Should people talk loud on their cells for increments of over 10 minutes? Or should they step outside in order to show respect? Do the patrons of a coffee shop give up a right to peace when they step inside? I would appreciate everyone's take on this issue. Thank you.

  • How about cyclists and STOP signs?

Do you believe it's Ok for cyclists to not stop for posted signs? Or, do you as a cyclist believe that it is just too much trouble for you to stop safely for other vehicles? Should cyclists simply be exempt from posted STOP signs? Should they just get a free pass??

Thanks in advance for your well thought out reples and responses!

  • Why do black students in college feel the need to yell so much?

    I'm TRYING not being racist, heck, I may even be a little crotchety, yes. Perhaps I'm even being overly sensitive, however;

I'd just like to know why it is that many (not all) black students feel the need to be loud, and hoot and holler, even in an enclosed space such as a cafeteria, or student center that is shared with other students.

What is the reason that makes it neccesary to shout when your neighbor that you are coversing with is sitting right in front of you at the same two seat table as you??

I'd appreciate input from both sides; the ones irritated by this phenomenon, as well as black students who think it's a fallacy (right)and want to contribute, or say otherwise.

I'm pretty sure that it's not just relegated to one campus. Come on now people. WHY the need to draw so much attention and be so damned loud in public places??

Thanks for letting me vent a bit in any case!!

  • Do you like loud people in coffee shops?

So we're here @ Peet's Coffee & Tea, and there's this motorcycle fanatic who was first on his cell, jibber-jabbing. Now he sits down with some older adults, and has been talking non-stop about his fancy silver DOT helmet. WTF?? Oh, wait, thank God, the old folks have had enough and are leaving...

Are coffee houses for the cerebral wired-in types, or the loudmouth cell phone junkies??

    Thoughts?

  • Is it cool to answer your cell at a restaurant during a meal?

I am amazed at the rudeness of people on their cell phones at restaurants. No less that 4 people answered their phones around me at a Denny's while having lunch. Maybe it's LA? Whatever. What do you think? Is it rude, or is it just the way that the new generation has grown up with this ever more pervasive technology??

  • Google mail sold my email address, has it happened to you?

I decided to try gmail last Thursday. The very NEXT day, I started getting unsolicited junk mail in my regular Yahoo mail account that has been almost completely clean for 5 years. Has this happened to anyone else, or is it a crazy coincidence? I don't think so, and I'm really pissed. I closed the Gmail account that same next day, but I'm still receiving the crap emails!

  • Why Do Certain People Leave Their Cell Phones on in Computer Labs & Libraries?

Why do certain people in public places, such as a computer lab on school grounds, or a public library leave their cell phones on full blast? And why do they take the incoming call, letting everyone within spitting distance hear about their oh-so important life details? Does it have to do with clown syndrome? OR is is it that the vibrate function on a cell phone is something that is just way too damned difficult for certain people to figure out??

  • Who is More Selfish @ a Public Library?

Who is more selfish? The guy using all of the electrical outlets at a cubicle for himself; or is it me for asking him to unplug his cellphone from ONE of them, so I can use it for my own laptop?
