Can the Pill decrease your appetite by regulating your hormones?
I had amenorrhea when i lost weight, i was heavily exercising due to my job and lifestyle. The doctors suggested i put weight on, which I did, a stone. But then, from someone who could control what they ate, i went to the opposite end of the scale and ate everything i would come across, constantly hungry, always thinking about food and always eating. I have since been put on the pill to regulate my hormones, not only am i less emotional, I do not crave food anymore, if-fact have to make sure i eat enough. What could this be? The hormones?
1 AnswerWomen's Health8 years agoWhat could have killed my puppy?
I got a gorgeous tiny pomeranian puppy the other day, I got him from a lady who said he was last of the litter, she showed me the Dad too and the puppy was quite expensive. I brought him home and he had a cough so i took him to the vet, the vet said he seemed OK. Last night he seemed very sleepy and would go a bit limp while he was sleeping he did not run around too much. This morning, i phoned the vet to make another appointment, they must have thought i was paranoid. I took him outside for a wee, he played with me. Took him back indoors, was putting porridge in my microwave turned around, and he was on the floor, in a pool of blood, bleeding from the mouth and nose. I am so unbelievably distraught i do not know what to do with myself because he was such a sweet little person. Does anyone know what thins could be? Occasionally he sounded a little wheezy. He was playing 2 mins before it happened. My other dog was in the room but there was absolutely no growling, no noise, no blood on her and she was in a different part of the room.
9 AnswersDogs8 years agoDoes this sound like colon cancer?
I have had IBS since 14 where when I would stress, my bowels would change, 90% of the time consitipation, i never get a very loose bowel just occasionally 'normal' I went away and before i left a horse of mine died so i had a bit of a stressful time, i am quite an upbeat intense person so that must be the way my body deals with stress! when i went away for 2 days i barely ate because i was not doing my normal training programme (athlete) and i had constipation and i had a small amount of blood in it, i strained a lot. It feels like i have no pushing power sometimes. I have regular checks with the doctor because i have amenorrhoea which is due to a suppressed pituitary gland. So i have recently had an abdominal exam, an ultra scan and blood tests. So do you think the doctor would have picked something up then? I was very worried however when i got home i had a fairly normal bowel movement with barely any blood. I am a 20 year old female and have an extreme exercise routine and am very slim.
4 AnswersCancer8 years agoOvarian cancer?????? Please help!!!!!?
I am probably worrying for no reason, however would like some advice,
20 year old female. I have had no period for 18 months (my doc says it is from a suppressed pituitary gland from my extreme stressful lifestyle and exercise) I have had blod tests done which came up normal with a suppressed pituitary gland.
I occasionally get constipation. Its rarely severe or painful, I have had it since i was 14 and when a situation changes eg. go on holiday my bowels also change.
I have bad mood swings (always have done) I will be normal, or high and then for a couple of days be on an extreme low, then be OK again. I have been having a small cramping/sharp pain in my lower abdomen (next to the hip) I get a reoccurring rash over the lower abdomen (once a year) and usually goes away after one antihistamine. My doc has given me a abdoman examination however i have asked for a scan which I am going for tomorrow. I have had no bleeds, no swelling (infact a very flat stomach) and a very strong immune system (everyone else around me will get a cold but not me) I put on weight quite easily(although 9stone 5'7) I am pretty much always dieting to keep my figure.
3 AnswersCancer9 years agoDoes this sound like an allergy to wheat?
I am an athlete and up until these last two weeks i have eaten lots of bread and wheat. My diet usually consists of breakfast- all-bran or special K, sometimes a bread role as well. Lunch- 1 or 2 bread roles or maybe toast. Dinner- a salad or some fish along with some bread. I am completely fit as train for 4/5 hours a day, but i am usually bloated, tired always feeling fat and most of the time constipated. I have a healthy BMI. I have regular check overs at the doc's due to my ammnorrhea (because of my full on lifestyle and huge amount of exercise) and I am healthy in every other way. However 2 weeks ago i decided to go on a healthy detox and i ate just veg and fruit for 3 days and I suddenly felt amazing, slimmer, not bloated, full of energy. So i carried on but introduced rice cakes and fish for this week and i feel unbelievable. I have so much more energy in my training, i have not once felt as tired, no constipation. I also lost 7 pounds where as usually i only have to look at a cake and i put on weight. I am now 8 stone 9 and 5'7 If anyone has any ideas i would be so grateful. Thanks
3 AnswersAllergies9 years agoDoes this sound like kidney infection?
I had cystitis a few days ago (started 5 days ago) I didn't treat it, then it got a bit worse so I started to take a course of cystitis relief and it should have cleared up, but diddnt. I then started getting really tired, pain in my back, yesterday I got pain in my left side and was kept awake all yesterday night with the pain, it then moved to my right side and now is worse on my right side. Apart from slightly tired I have no other symptoms except the pain. Could this be an infection? Thanks

1 AnswerHair9 years agoWhat sort of diet plan should i be on?
Hi, need some advice with weight loss. I am size 8/10, 5 foot 8 and 9 stone 3. I would like to get under 9 stone for my holiday but am really finding it difficult to shift the bit of weight hanging around my legs. I am an elite dressage horse rider so ride 4 hours a day, I also go to the gym 4 times a week. I am on celebrity slim and have been for a week but so far not much results. Would another diet plan suit me more? Or do i just need to stick it out for a little longer? I have strong will power so can try any diet, just need one that works fairly quickly as my holiday is in 3 weeks and i would love to have lost 4 pounds by then
thanks
26 AnswersDiet & Fitness9 years agodoes it sound like my mare is due to give birth?
She is a maiden mare, I think she is due any day. She has bagged up for a few weeks now, but they have got bigger today, and today there are white dots around them, her vulva had stretched the day before yesterday and is swollen, the foal seems to have moved more downwards and she has ditches either side of her back (by her tail) and she holds her tail 'up' she is very cranky today and is biting when we go near her and has her ears back, last night we watched her on camera and she seemed to be kicking herself. Three nights ago she was extremely restless in her stable. I have never had a foal before! but we have it all well set up and our vet on speed dial! thanks
