Oily hair gets oilier after washing it?
My hair is naturally oily, so I use to wash it everyday, but I read a few articles saying I should only wash it every other day. So I've been doing that lately, it has helped some.
I've been noticing over the past few months (maybe 2 or 3 months) that my hair is oily and after I shower? It's so noticeable that sometimes it looks like I just got out of shower for the whole day. I first thought that I wasn't scrubbing in the shampoo enough, not the case.
Then I thought I wasn't washing all the shampoo out, I'm fairly sure I am. I scrub my hair while it's under the water and put my shower head up to my hair. I also put in the shampoo first, so my hair is under the water constantly. Lastly, I only use conditioner on the tips of my hair.
I use Dove (or Sauve? One of the two.) Clarifying shampoo and conditioner. If my hair's really bad I may use Dove Men's Clarifying.
Can anyone help?
P.s. I towel dry my hair and don't brush it when it's wet. (I've notice brushing while it's wet makes the problem worse.)
1 AnswerHair9 years agoMy school won't let us do a Thanksgiving themed newspaper issue?
I just got home from a school newspaper meeting. One of the ideas suggested was making our issue Thanksgiving themed. Our advisors said no because "not everyone celebrates it." I think they are assuming that it is a religious holiday. I realise some religions don't celebrate holidays at all, but this a national holiday, not a religious one.
Before I talk to my advisors, I'd like to hear some educated opinions, why or why not we should be able to have this issue.

4 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education9 years ago"Nermal Paddington"? Good name for a Persian cat?
Hi!
I'm adopting a black persian 10 yr. old cat from the ASPCA and I was wondering, what do you think of the name "Nermal Paddington"?
It came in as a stray and was never given a name.
Nermal= Grayish cat from Garfield and Paddington= Paddington Bear (it's just like a teddy bear and loves to be held.)
Either that or Batman, Felix, Mufasa, or Darth Vader (simply because it is pure black)?

1 AnswerCats9 years agoI have mean friends... What do I do?
Okay, so I have these 3 friends which are really close together, but they often don't invite me anywhere or they will have parties and not invite me. Or sleepovers, or anything, but when they do, I mean I can't say I feel third wheelish but just not as important, they all praise, um lets call her Jane, Jane and they do whatever she wants to do. For example, I had two options when I was with them, my mom said if I went to a movie with them, I could hang out with them longer, if I didn't she would pick me up right then. So I asked them if we could see a movie, and the only one playing at that time was Kung Fu Panda 2, which, even though I am a teen, I reallly wanted to see. But the other girl wanted to see a movie that wasn't playing for a few hours, so they all just gave in to her and I had to leave early while they stayed and hung out. I mean, I bend over backwards for these girls and they don't do the same in return, they all loooove Jane. I don't want to not be friends with them because, for health reasons, I go to cyber school and only have 2 other friends.... I can't go to regular school until next year, but I don't know what to do... Help?
P.s. One time when they were talking about a time they didn't invite me, I said "I wasn't there, you guys didn't invite me" they just said "ohh, uh, we thought you were volunteering" (which i made clear to them I don't volunteer on wednesdays and they have known this for months, and they did that on a wednesday) then I said "no, I wasn't, you could have texted me..." they said "uh, we thought you didn't like people.... um, yeah there were alot of us and we thought..." (they got that from a JOKE I made.) I just said "I was kidding, but whatever, it's in the past" (I so wanted to say that is a lame excuse you bi... sorry. getting carried away.)
7 AnswersFriends10 years agoHow to tell my friends they are hurting my feelings?
My friends go out without me.... alot. Then when they do invite me, they just say stuff like "Remember when Jane jumped into the pool??" no, I don't remember, I wasn't invited... I want to know why, but I don't want to be blunt, but I don't know what to say. Should I tell them face to face, over text, or Facebook? What should I tell them?
8 AnswersFriends10 years agoHow to deal with kids going crazy in a restaurant?
Today, I went to a really nice restaurant, I was so looking forward to a nice quite afternoon. Then this family came in, and as soon as they came in, the kid started yelling about how the restaurant smelled like fish. Then when they finally sat down, she started yelling "THEY DON'T HAVE CHICKEN NUGGETS! I WANT MY CHICKEN NUGGETS!" then she started screaming and crying. Her Mom just sat there, basically ignoring her, once in a while, quietly saying "shh honey". Eventually her food came (they specially made her chicken nuggets) she then preceded to walk around the restaurant and go up to people and say stuff like "You look old" or "Your food looks funny." If my kids ever did that, I would take them straight home. Let me get straight to the point, I asked to be moved to another section of the restaurant (so did most of the diners), and the mother made this giant, really LOUD speech how we were all being rude to her and her child... So do you think it is rude to ask to be moved when someones child is acting unruly?
9 AnswersEtiquette10 years agoSpeaking a foreign language in front of people who all speak English?
This happens to me alot, honestly I don't care, but sometimes it makes me think if they are talking about people behind their back. Like yesterday, I went to a formal dinner with a group of people from my sons school, we were having a really nice time, then two people at the table (across from each other) went into a long discussion in Spanish, I speak Spanish fluently, so I knew what they said, which most was okay but one made a snide comment about a dress someone was wearing, anyways, this seems to happen alot to me, people will just speaking another language to each other which they think no one else can speak (which you can never assume). My mom raised me to never have a conversation with someone, while in a group, or the like, in a foreign language. What do you think? Is it rude?
P.s. When I was in the Navy, the guys use to get in trouble all the time because they would have conversations in Russian about the women there, basically everyone there spoke Russian... Hehe
4 AnswersEtiquette10 years agoI am really sad about highschool. 10 points if you answer?
I have health problems and my doctor wants me to stay in cyber school for one more year (freshmen year of high school) so I can go in often and he can check on me often. (I have to stay in hospitals for days at a time almost every month. He said it is very possible for me to go to regular (bricks and mortar) high school next year (10th grade). I really don't want to go back to cyber school, I literally have 6 friends and i can barely see them because they are busy. I have no best friends. Next year we are changing states, because of my newest doctor is there and my Dad's job is moving. So I will have 3 friends (who live in that state, they are near me though). I am so sad. I just want to go to high school like a normal kid. I am seeing my old middle school classmates post 8th grade graduation photo's on Facebook and i am so jealous. Then they post summer photo's when I know I will have a lonely summer. Sports aren't a option for me really because of my health issues, and I tried looking or clubs or groups to join, but I can't find many. I think I posted just to vent. I am so sad though, how can I get over it?

1 AnswerFriends1 decade agoHow hard is it to transition into a new highschool in 10th grade?
I am going to a new highschool after this summer, I know some students, but never really talked to them when I met them in middle school. Although, my best friend goes there. How hard is it going to be to transition into my new school? Is it going to be like 9th grade or will it be different since alot of people are probably there from last year and already have friends?
2 AnswersFriends1 decade agoWhat's a good straightener for curly hair?
My hair is curly/wavy/odd looking, but I like it anyways, I can style it with my hands, so don't get me wrong I love my hair. But sometimes I want it straight, not often but for some events or just for school. I have super oily hair sometimes, but I use a good shampoo/conditioner combo so most of the time it is just a little oily. But it is usually really oily once a month (when my face breaks out). So what is a good straightener, I can probably spend up to $100 on one that will last a LONG time, I saved that much, so if I am going to spend it, I want it to last. Also what products should I use that won't make my hair more oily or greasy. Oh and p.s. I have fine hair and dandruff sometimes (yup, oily and dandruff).
Thanks. P.s. I am 14.
4 AnswersHair1 decade agoHow to make my hair soft and silky?
Hi,
I was wondering how to make my hair soft and silky?
I have medium length (right below shoulder) red hair. My hair is fine and curly. It is also oily and I have dandruff (I know right? I have both :P).
What should I do to make it soft and silky?
2 AnswersHair1 decade ago¿(Traducción española) French phrases? Frases en francés?
I am going to France in a few days and need to know some phrases. I knew some this year but forgot most of them.
How do you say:
How are you? (informal)
Three waters please
Could I have ___ please? Thank you.
I don't speak French (well)
Thank you everyone in advance for answering. Sorry my Spanish translation is off, I am in Spain, so it is set to Yahoo! Answers Spain. I had to use literal Spanish, what I learned in school.
5 AnswersIdiomas1 decade agoHow long after a pedicure can you wear sneakers? Plus a manicure q?
How long after a pedicure can you wear closed toe (sneakers) without ruining the pedicure? My friend says a day and a half, my mom says a day.
How long after a manicure can you wear gloves (or do work that may touch/scratch nails) without ruining the manicure? Same as before my mom says a day, my friend says 2.
3 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style1 decade agoIs it okay if I take a day and half for myself?
Hi everyone,
I am thinking of taking a day and a half to go to a spa with some friends, the only problem is I am a mom of 4.
On one hand, I haven't gotten a manicure or pedicure since my cousins wedding... 15 years ago (my eldest was born a few months after that). All my vacations are with the kids and my husband. I haven't seen my friends since... oh, probably 3 months, okay not that bad. I have been under some extra stress lately, my dad had been ill the last few years and I took care of him, he passed away 2 months ago. My husband is changing jobs and I am trying to pack up a messy house we have lived in for 14 years (it wasn't always messy, but teens... hey, oh well). My daughter thinks I am "like so nosy and annoying"... Hey I went through that too. My husband has been traveling a lot, so I have been having to pack and clean the house. My kids pets are shedding all over our house and clothes (going to the groomer next week, yay@). So I think a day and half could help me relax a little.
On the other hand, I feel guilty for leaving them, my husband isn't known for being punctual and my son's soccer practice begins this weekend (the day and a half I will be gone). I have drive 3 hours to get there, but with traffic it could take a day sometimes, what if I am late and end up being gone for 2 days? What if something happens, what if they need me right away? (I can use my cell there) What if my husband has a last minute work meeting, or has to leave town. Am I being selfish for going to a spa??? I don't know. Please help
2 AnswersParenting1 decade agoBeaches in Barcelona in late April? Are they busy? (10 points)?
Hello,
My family (of 4) and I are planning on going to Barcelona on April 22nd (get there the 23rd). We have our flights and hotel. We plan on staying a week, our hotel is right on the beach and we really just want to relax on the beach for the days we are there. I do understand that the weekends it can be quite busy but what about the week days? Have you been there during this time, during the week, will it be busy? Thank you in advance.
