What's your take on it? Does the Bible make room for life developing on another planet? Or is it one of those areas where science conflicts with religion?

The Gospel according to Matthew says that Joseph was descended from King David and that therefore Jesus was from the family of King David. How can this be? It was a virgin birth. Joseph was not his natural birth father.

how do you reconcile a phrase like "the Gospel according to"? It seems to me that such a phrase is expressly acknowledging that the author of that Gospel has a view, but it is not the only view of the life of Jesus. Human beings aren't perfect. They see things differently. If we take one Gospel literally as the only truth, how do we deal with the differences in the other Gospels? Please explain.

I'm in a head to head baseball league and we're in the playoffs this week and next. My Thursday lineup was poor -- all my players were off. I decided to drop all of my mid-relievers and add more hitters so that I could staff a nearly complete lineup on Thursday. Then I dropped the hitters after Thursday, and picked up new mid-relievers. Several others in my league were upset and said it wasn't fair play. Do you agree?

I'm new to Fantasy baseball. I'm signed up in the Yahoo public league. Sorry. This is probably a stupid question but I can't find the answer in the Help menu or Rules. Do I get points for every starting pitcher on my roster who gets a win on opening day? Or do I have to designate my starting pitcher every day?

Wouldn't it make sense to develop a best practice guideline that would be available somewhere on Yahoo Answers? Then if it is blatantly obvious that someone is just trying to get us to do their thinking for them, we point them to the best practice guideline for how to do their own research. If not, we answer their question but develop some best practice ways to offer them suggestions without spoon feeding them the answers.

Why is it that most people who answer questions in this category rag on the person asking for homework help? Why do they say, do your own homework? What is the purpose of this category if not to help? What would be a more constructive way of answering these questions?
