  • Single day gas boycotts don't work. What about only buying $10 in gas at a time? What is the advantage?

We all know that the "gas boycott" on May 15th won't affect gas prices at all since everyone will be filling up their tanks on the 14th to prepare for the "boycott". But I have heard that only spending $10 on gas at a time hurts the oil companies more than any silly single day boycott. Why? In theory, you will just buy gas more often. Does it have to do with overall profit margin? For instance if the oil company makes $4 in profit on $40 of gas, will they make less than $1 on $10 in gas, thereby hurting their overall profit margin?

  • Do local governments keep copies of home floorplans? United States only. Preferably Shawnee County Kansas.?

Ok, here's the situation, my kitchen drain is a menace. It will drain fine for months on end then a super clog will form somewhere in the line. I have a little handheld drain snake that can barely punch through it, if at all. Sometimes the only solution is for me to pour concentrated cyanuric acid down the line to disolve whatever is down there.

A plumber told me that he thought it was a problem with roots. But given where the drain line is I can't see how that is possible. There aren't any trees within 35 feet of this drain. That is why I am wondering if my local government office would happen to have a copy of the floorplan for the house. It was built in 1958 and I am at least the second owner, so I don't have anything. My mortgage papers weren't that detailed so I can't use those.

Any ideas on how to get a hold of the original floorplan so I can see where the drain line runs? I live in Topeka Kansas in the United States.

  • What is the worst beer you have ever had?

The reason I ask is because every Christmas my family gets together and all stay at the same hotel. Part of our entertainment is to search through a liquor store and find the worst tasting beer there. Everyone has to sip from it so we can laugh at the expressions.

Our previous worst was called Dirty ***** (yes that is actually the name). It tasted like, burnt tar and gasoline. But this year we found two beers that surpassed it.

The first was called Old Engine Oil and it was a bitter tasting brew. It was black as night and harder to choke down than a cotton ball.

The second was the clear winner. It is called Chili Beer. It has an actual jalepeno pepper inside of it. One sip and you are pretty much begging for Old Engine Oil to wash it down! It was like drinking a beer that was 90% jalepeno juice. My intestines burned for 6 days afterwards.

So beer lovers and haters, what is the worst you have ever had? And don't give me Coors or Bud Light. I want actual crap.
