  • I ate moldy bread? Will I be alright?

I ate 1/4 of my grilled cheese sandwich, which tasted pretty good. Until I saw some black mold on one slice. Upon closer look, I saw multiple small moldy spots, the whole loaf had moldy spots. This was just a few minutes ago and now my stomach feels funny, possibly because I'm still hungry. And the back of my throat is sore.

My real question is how bad is mold for you? And will I be ok?

  • Sudden lack of appetite resulting in fast weight loss?

Im 5'2 and 15. In march I weighed around 137 lbs give or take some. Then about a couple months ago (when I stopped taking the medicine I had been on for the past year due to worsening side effects) I started to feel less hungry and when I ate I got full after a few bites. Normally I would be up all night eating and getting calories in that way (another side effect from the meds) but after stopping the meds I was no longer eating all night.

I can now wear clothes from the 7th grade (I will be in 10th grade this fall) and still need a belt. I've gone down 1-2 belt sizes so I think I'll have to get a smaller belt (also from 7th grade) I can't find anything I want to eat from the grocery store either. And when I do find something I eat a few bites and have to lay down because I'm full. I'm can't remember the last time I had a full meal. Whenever I see anyone or anything enjoying a meal I get really jealous.

I was procrastinating getting on the scale but was kinda forced to because I'm supposed to weigh the dog regularly. And he won't stand on the scale long enough by himself. So I have to weigh me and him and then just me. I'm now 123 lbs

So my main questions are is that normal, should I see a doctor and am I over reacting.

  • I found a "super rare" yu gi oh card. Is is worth enough to find who it belongs to?

I found a yu gi oh card on the sidewalk outside my apartment complex (gold rat) its condition on a scale of 1-10 is 6. It doesn't mean much to me but is kinda cool. But I remember several years back I was into Pokemon cards and they meant a lot to me. But within the last few days my family has found all kinds of things outside, and brought them to the front office. And they started to seem kinda of annoyed with us. And I know what kind of look I will get when I show up with a yu hi oh card. Plus I'm sure it will get tossed somewhere and forgotten. I looked up the value of it and its around 1-2 dollars. Is it worth it?

  • My dog may have injured a bird, I think she is okay, but I'm not 100% sure. What should I do?

My dog, mom and I were on our balcony on the 1st level. And a bird landed on our balcony, my dog tried to pounce on her, but she tried to fly away but my dog head butted her and she fell outside of the fence, just out of my dogs reach. My mom put my dog inside, and a hopped over the fence to see if she was okay.

My mom handed me a shoebox with holes poked in the top. The bird laid in the grass with its wing stretched out. I placed the box next to her and she tried to fly away but landed right in the box. I closed her in the box and sat the box on my desk.

I have a guinea pig so I had a few supplies suitable for a bird. A got an extra food dish and I filled it with some raw corn. I also had some dried corn on the cob with husk attached to one side and I placed it by the dish. During this she flapped her wings as if she was trying to fly but couldn't leave the ground. I fear she may have a damaged wing. I want to add a layer of carefresh to the box but I don't want to scare her. She doesn't seem to be bleeding, and I think she went to the bathroom in the box. I hope she will get enough water from the corn to last her through the night. My mom plans to take her to the local vet in the morning.

I hope I am doing the right thing, but I want to make sure. Right now she looks fine, she is alive, and is doing well. I wanted her to be outside ASAP but I fear I'd be leaving her outside to die. Plus, there are lots of dogs in our apartment complex, and she can't fly so she is basically defenseless. Part of me wants to keep her, and get some bird supplies. But I know that's not the right thing to do. I guess I'm really looking for some reassurance.

-edit- also I'm almost 100% sure she's one of those birds that hop around on the ground. And don't fly much until you get close to them. And even then they only fly 3 feet away. So that may be able to explain why she couldn't seem to fly well.

  • What type of plant do I have?

I received a couple of plants from a neighbor that came from her garden in her backyard. One was lamb's ear and I don't know what the second one is. I was told that some of her plants were spreading all over the place so she was keeping some and giving away some.

We live on the border of zone 6 and 7.

The tallest plant is 8-9 inches and there is 5-6 in total that get as small as a couple inches. One is going diagonal and the rest are going horizontal. This may be trauma from being dug up, re planted, and transported. What I have noticed about the plant is that the leaves have one on one side and across from it another leave. These leaves are tilted upward at about 45 degrees. And the plants are in a 4inch nursery pot (if that means something). I believe the plant is just one stem and a pair of leaves every inch and there is about 5 separate plants. But it is possible that it is all just one plant and the dirt makes it appear as it is several different ones.

I will be getting pots for all of my plants tomorrow and I'm hoping someone will recognize it by tomorrow morning. If not I think I would get a 8-10 inch pot for the time being. But if the pots are more than I plan on spending I would keep them in their current pot and ask the person that I got it from what it is called. And then go from there.

Here are some links of the pictures I took earlier of the plant(s)

  • I think my dog may be racist?

Generally my dog is friendly but certain people he doesn't like. And they all seem to be from Afghanistan or areas around there. You don't have to read the rest of this but if you could scroll down to the last bit that would be nice.

We live in an apartment and once I took him out for a walk and he dashed outside to the hall and barked and growled at a guy holding a container of food (probably Chinese food) at first I was looking for what he was barking at then, then I realized who he was barking at and I tried to shut him up. And earlier our neighbor stopped by (also foreign)and he barked and barked and we put him on his leash and then he wanted to play with our neighbor.

He even barked at a random little kid, which is awful because I know a lot of people that don't like dogs because of experiences they had when they were little.

He loves all other dogs but frequently they absolutely hate him. He is obsessed with sniffing my guinea pig, and in turn the guinea pig sniffs him and tries to nibble on his nose.

I think he may be barking at people because of how they smell. I'm not saying foreigners smell bad because that's not true, in fact I wish glade would make a scent like that. I assume the smell is from the spices in their food. Unfortunately imma finicky eater so I haven't tried much foreign food because I don't want to offend others if I don't like it.

So my questions is can dogs be racist? Or am I over reacting?

  • Guinea pig missing fur on nose & has a crusty subtance on hind feet?

4 hours ago I didn't see any missing fur. His bedding is care fresh but a week ago I ran low on bedding so I used homemade carefresh (newspaper boiled) at the bottom and topping it with lots of care fresh. He is eating mostly Timothy hay and econutrietion for guinea pigs. He drinks a lot of water but this is normal for him. My last guineapig(female) drank considerably less. He weighs about 1 lb however my scale isn't the most reliable. I was told he is about 2-3 months old, I have had him for a few weeks. His fur in general is soft and thick. His personality hasn't changed. I did spray some disinfectant spray in the room we share, as I forgot my parents bought a cheaper spray which didn't say it was safe for pets... Also in my room I have a tarantula and I moved my dwarf African frog into my room, neither of which show any signs of sickness. I haven't had any pesticides in my room since around last thanksgiving. His spot where he is missing fur is black, gray and white...the same color as his fur, however it looks and feels dry. When I tap his nose he doesn't show any signs of discomfort. His food bowls are plastic, I have not seen or suspect he has been chewing on them. A few days ago I noticed a crusty like spot stuck to his hind foot(on the nail) It didnt seem to hurt him when I tried (and failed) to remove it. Literally 2 minutes ago he ran behind my tv,i believe he didn't bite any wires during the 30 sec high speed chase we had. The only veggies he will eat are carrots, I feed them to him every now and then but not for the past few days. I think I have now ran out of facts and statements.

  • Type of snail on my window?

It is half a centimeter it's shell is NOT a conch, when it crawls it's shell is a circle laying FLAT on it back. I only really see them when it rains on my front porch on my window and in general on my porch which it sheltered by the rain by the porch on 2nd level. I have NEVER found any over the size of 1/2 a centimeter shell and about a centimeter when moving. Most of the ones I find are dead. Also I put a bucket outside to collect rain water and saw some alive and dead snails on the sides of it. The shell is brown and translucent ( allows some light through but not where body is in shell)

  • What snail do I have?

I caught a few small snails outside on Virginia after it rained. Now I'm wondering what kind are they? They are very small ( shells are a quarter the size of a eraser on a pencil ) the shell is brown but a lighter brown on the perimeter. There was ALOT of snails like them outside I counted 10 for the few seconds I was out. Can I keep them as pets? Can I tell the difference between male or female or are they asexual? Do the live in fresh water or saltwater or land snails? How fast can they reproduce? Are they babies or full grown? What do they eat? How do I care for them?

  • Does my guinea pig cage layout sound ok.?

Leave a comment here or YouTube. The link is http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/... the cage will be around 42" by 42" 2 levels and a 14"by 14" room on top. Also any ideas of homemade toys for guinea pigs. Or any Guinea pig shelter or breeder in the washington dc area. Do you think the cage will sturdy enough. How many Guinea pigs will fit comfortably.
