I learned this today but I'm having trouble, how I've learned to do it is - Value= 5% of £400

=0.05 x 400

=20

But the way the teacher did it earlier brought out a fuller answer, that you didn't have to add on. This is only the first year I've calculated because it doesn't look right to me as we didn't have to add it on earlier...

My iPhones silent switch is already broke, but now, after a full day of general teenage girl use it's saying it has full charge. Like full green bar. Usually by 7 I'd be well into red from small use but it hasn't went down after 3 to 4 hours of using wi-fi Internet basically non stop. Is there something I can do it doesn't have to option to show percentage? Hasnt gave me warning for low battery yet but I'm thinking this is broke too :( getting a new phone soon once my contract runs out I just need my phone to be workable till then

Here's the thing, I have really low self esteem and I've recently started talking to a guy in my year at the gym. People have said I'm pretty before and some days I'm like "Oh I don't look horrible" but I just feel like there are so many other people out there that are better than me? And I really like this guy but we haven't been talking that much and we don't even have each others phone numbers. We used to get the bus together after going to the gym but his mum got I'll and had to go to the hospital so he's staying with his friend. But on the bus I sat in front of himand we were talking and my friend had PM'ed me on Facebook do I was replying to it (he was on his phone too so it wasn't rude or anything) and he kept reaching across and tapping my phone and saying "Did I get it?" And we had a really good laugh. But honestly he's so much more attractive than me, we don't talk on Facebook and don't have each others numbers so I don't really see any way this could progress? :(

I revise as much as I can and I just can't remember things. I wanna get a A or B in Biology so I can take higher next year (currently int 2) and I failed my first prelim. I studied so hard for it and I was really disappointed, I've kept up my revision and seem to be doing better but does anyone have any tips

My friend tweeted saying she's playing it and its amazing and I asked if it was the Freeplay sims and she said "No, it's sims 3" but I can't find it on AppStore on my iPad 2 and I said that and she just favourited the comment ?

My 1 yr old black lab was recently diagnosed with Hip Displysia in both his legs, but his right was barely affected and the left was worse. He recently got an opperation on the left and his recovery has started off very good and the vet said he looked good but now (two weeks later after seeing vet, about a month after op) i've felt his leg and it is clicking when he bends it, he doesnt seem to be in any pain but he keeps it off the ground more. We've just paid 2.5 grand on his op and we just want to know if this just might be a common thing and the vet is closed for the long weekend otherwise we would call them.

I'm not religious but I respect their faith, although I don't believe in it. But what I don't understand is why so many people centre their lives around religious figures that may not even be physically or spiritually real in any way. Why would you not just live your life on the morals your parents and the ones you have learned have taught you instead of bowing down to a figure that may not be real. I understand I may get a lot of contrasting answers and some may be angry towards me but I really don't understand it. I know that certain people need this higher hope to deal with the struggles in life and to have hope in uncertain times but why do people live by rules of religion when they really could just live for life...
