I'm trying to find a program that i listened to a few months ago in which the main guest talked about his mother-in-law's struggle with alzheimer's. The thing that he talked about most was how he found he was able to really connect with her if he just played along with whatever delusion she was experiencing at the time.

I remember him saying something about her thinking there were monkeys out on their front lawn, so he agreed and started talking about the funny things they were doing.

I also remember him saying that if she was having trouble remembering who he or his wife were, they would make up characters and introduce themselves and connect as a new relationship.

I think he may have been a comedian, but I could be wrong. and I listen to a lot of podcasts, but I'm thinking it was either Fresh Air or On Point.. or it could have been a program on Doctor radio on Sirius XM... or it could have been something else entirely.

Does anyone have any idea of what program or person this could have been? I wanted to share the episode with someone, but I just can't find it

They sell vacation packages. Has anyone ever used a service like this? What do you think of it?

I just got hired as an executive assistant. I would like this to be the start of a career with this company, but I don't know how to dress! I definitely want to be well respected and not dress provocatively, but I don't want to look frumpy either. I have a really nice black skirt with a below the knee hemline, but it has some stretch in it, so it fits pretty tightly. If I wear a very conservative top, is this still too sexy? I have a similar problem with pants too; I'm really short (5'1") but have a big butt haha! So the problem is that any pants that fit length and waist wise are pretty snug in the rear. I feel lile this makes almost anything I wear look kindfof slutty. Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

My husband and I are new real estate investors. Last year we looked at a small apartment complex, inspected it, decided it was a good deal, so we proceeded with the financing company that had "unofficially" pre-approved us.

Before signing anything, we sought out an investment attorney to read all of our contracts and applications to see what we were signing. The lawyers said everything looked standard so we should go ahead with the loan.

There was a $14,500 non-refundable application fee, which we agreed to bc we felt like the funding was a sure thing, and the lawyers gave us the green light.

Shortly after paying the fee, we received a letter denying us the loan.

We signed papers saying that we agreed to the terms because we thought we covered all our bases by hiring a third party lawyer to look over the agreement and tell us if it was reasonable.

After the denial, we requested a statement of the reasons our loan was denied, which the company failed to produce.

Is there any recourse we can take? I imagine they're business strategy is collecting application fees when they have no intention of approving the loan. Signed agreement or not, can this practice possibly be legal?

I have trouble finding shoes and boots that fit my short, very wide feet! I have found lots of companies that make shoes and boots to a custom size, but they all seem to use leather and suede. I'm vegan and abhor the idea of wearing animal products, but I don't want something low quality like many faux suede and leather alternatives are. Any suggestions?
