  • GAME Pre-order.. [UK]?

I pre-ordered a PS3 game from GAME, picked it up and paid for it and it is now sitting wrapped under the Xmas tree, this was 2 weeks ago.

Today the same game is being sold in the same store £60 cheaper!

I wouldn't mind so much if the price dropped after Xmas, that is expected.

Is this something I have to suck-up or does anyone know if there is any way I can get refunded the difference?

  • A Carpenter Arrived At My Home?

before he even started fixing the table he said "By the way I'm the Son of God" I thought good for you but fix the table.

He said to me "I know what you are thinking, you doubt me"

I thought well he deffo isn't the big yin or he'd know I wanted my table fixed"

He said "Will you break bread with me"

I was wanting to break something at this stage but it weren't bread.

He reiterated everything he said and I told him straight "If you don't leave now I will do some serious damage"

His reply was that this happened last time he was here and do we never learn.

As he left in a huff I noticed he had left some bits and bobs behind so I shouted after him "Don't forget the nails" and he shouted back " Not again" and ran away

    My question is

how do ya fix a table with a wobbly leg?

  • I think my partner is having an affair?

He has been getting lifts home from work but saying he has taken the bus alone.

Last night I heard a car pull up at the end of our drive. I slipped out of the house on my hands and knees and was well hidden by our own little car. I was kneeling down peering by the front bumper and witnessed him get out of the passenger side of a vehicle and there was a female I didn't recognise; he lent over and embraced her and kissed her on the lips before exiting the car; he still hadn't spotted me at this point.

While still kneeling at the front of our car I noticed a little rust spot.

    My question is this:

Can anyone advise the most sensible approach for removing the rust?

  • Question for Americans with a sweet tooth?

I've recently had the opportunity to sample some American chocolate Hershey etc. I found I didn't like the taste or at least prefer British chocolate.

It made me wonder if the reason for that is because we learn to like/prefer at a very young age, so if you are American and have tried UK chocolate what are your thoughts on preference?

  • God's strange decision?

If the bible is the word of God did he not pick a very strange way to share it as up until the last century only the rich could read and doesn't that fly in the face of it is harder to pass through the eye of the needle than for a rich man [no rich ladies back then!] to enter the kingdom of heaven?

  • Working Conditions in Social Care Sector?

I work in Social Care in Scotland, Care in the Community. I work from 0830 hrs to 2300 hrs with one service user.I have a couple of questions:

Are you legally entitled to a break and if so when/how would you get it. If the client say wants to go for something to eat, I am expected to pay for my own or sit looking at him like a lemon as he eats.

Is this the norm in the Care Sector in Scotland?

If I went home and said I went for a meal with a client my other half would hit the roof as we rarely can manage or afford to go out for a meal together and he says I am entitled to a paid break where I can go and sit on my own and relax and I shouldn't have to pay to do my job.

Is this the norm in this line of work ?
