So, I am a senior in high school and am graduating as second in my class. I have worked very hard and now it is time to choose a college. I have two options: Cornell's pre-med or NYIT's accelerated medical program. Of course, NYIT's program provides certainty and is much easier but I have looked through the classes and they are not challenging at all. Cornell is very difficult and will certainly challenge me and push me to my limits. What should I do? I really want to challenge my self and grow- but then again, I am only 17 years old and haven't seen the world yet. Should I take the hard path or the easy/certain one?

Money is not an issue, they both cost the same amount.

I'm 17 years old and I've lived my life in a bubble. I'm going to be going to college in the fall and realize that I need to open my eyes to the world around me. What are some good ways to start learning? I was thinking about watching an hour of news a day and reading the newspaper in the morning, is there something else i should be doing?

What are some unbiased news sources? I want to make my own opinions so would it be a good idea to listen to both conservative and liberal news channels?

i'm in 9th grade right now and i'm going to compelete my 2yr requirement of frogein laungage this year. i'm going to be taking the french regents next year after french 3H and i'm really good at french. i've gotten nothing but 100s and it's my 2nd best class. the problem is that for college i wanna get into the accelerated med progaram and it's gonna be tough. through out highschool i'm going to take (all honors beofre the AP) 2 AP math, 2AP eng, 3AP history, 7 AP sci, and a 3 year sci research program to earn me 12 college credits (in the research progaram alone). i'm also doing around a 100 hrs of commutnity service each year at the hospital over summer. if i decide to continue with french i'm gonna have to drop 2 sciences. (as far as grades go, i usually get 100's in French and around 98's in Sci). i'm willing to give up 2 sciences if i have to, but is it worth it?

will it look better when i apply to college or would i be wasting 2 classes?

i'm 14 , 5 feet 4 and for the past years i had never weighed more than 120 lbs and now i have a thyriod problem and i weigh 135!!! i've been trying to loose weight but it's not working. my mom is freaking out. i don't really have time to work out and stuff becuase i'm on this really tight schedule. i'm in 9th grade and at the top of my class. i have alot of work and several math and sci competitons. i have like no time to waste and so i tried wakling home (2 mi) and it didn't help. i think my mom's gonna kill me. HELP!!! what should i do?

i'm taking the sat 2 for bio this june and i've already study the entire princeton review and now i just want to do full length examps. where can i find them? a book name or link would help.

so i'm 14yrs old and i have really thick frizzy wavy hair and it is uncontrable. i'm donating it so it'll be a little higher than the bottom of my chin. i can't use conditioner, straightener or any other products because then i go nearly bald and i'm in need of desperate help. so this is what my face looks like, i have a short and slightly wide face adn my bones stick out a little but i still have chubby cheeks. i have medium brown skin and a small nose/large dark eyes. i knids look 12 though i'm 14. i need help picking out a hair cut for tommrow morning. by the way, my hair is pitch black an i can't colour it. please help me!!

so, i'm a freshman in HS and i don't know what to take next year. don't tell me to take what i feel like becuase i'm thinking about my future, not fun. I need to get into THE BEST medical schoola dn i am at the top of my class. so i planned out my entire HS life.

this is the rpoblem. we only have 9 pds in a day so there aren't many classes i can take. so i'm either i take psychology, AP psych, amd marine bio throught HS or i take 2 yrs of art and then AP art in senior year. those are my choices and i don't know what to do.

so me and 2 of my friends, Ada and Lisa, are running for office. we're in highschool, incase u were wondering. so, i'm running for president, Ada's running for vice president and Lisa is running for Secretary. so we r in all honors and lots of clubs so we're a little busy. Lisa is the most stressed because she has to work unitl 8pm each day. so we made the posters and speeches and everything but there is a problem. Lisa kinda doesn't wanna win b/c she is really really busy already. she can't drop out cause then she'll feel like she wasted her time but if she loses she'll cry infront of EVERYONE cause she can't hold in her tears for her life. so now we have a sitiuation and i have no idea how to comfort her because me and Ada don't really listen to our emotions, we listen to logical reasoning.

I'm moving to houston, TX fom NY. Over here they have math and sci honors for 8th graders and these classes are highschool classes. My district decided to stick to math A for one more year and since i'm in honors math i'm going to have to take the regents this year in 8th grade. now i'm moving to Houston this summer and they have Algebra 1. i don't really know how the system works. Am i going to be put in remedial or regular math in 9th grade and have to start Algebra 1? Will they let me keep my high school credit for math A? I'm also in science honors and i'm taking earth science. What science class do they give 9th graders in Texas? Will i still get credit for my highschool sci course? will i be put in remedial or regular science? Can someone please help me?
