I am a grown man of 39 years and decided to take a vacation back east to visit an online friend. I am not married or attached to anyone so I don't need permission but I was a bit nervous just the same. I felt my resolve about taking the trip was a bit shakey so when anyone demanded details ( saying it was none of there business didn't cut it) I told them I was going to the coast to see friends. When I got home I admittedly spilled the beans almost as soon as I got off the plane. Now several of the people are exceptionally upset with me and feel that I abused their friendship. So..what I'm asking is As long as I made sure I was safe, able to be contacted, someone knew where I was and what I was doing, and I admitted to the deception and apologised is the extreme reaction to my deception warranted?

Ever since my wife left me in 1994 I have been involved in many relationships but they steadily become shorter and shorter in duration and in the intensity till now I can't even bring myself to persue a romantic interest. It has gotten so bad that now its almost pre-emptive. They lose interest before I have a chance to ask them out. My question is: My ex was a vindictive person who after leaving me for another man couldn not believe I could find another. Is her negativity somehow cursed me ..like the only way she can maintain her happiness is by stealing mine? I know its weird but its a strong feeling. Now feel free to tell me what you think>

Ever since my divorce in 94 I have had extreme problems doing any of the things I know would make me both happier and more secure. Every time I work up the motivation to try I will hit the smallest snag and just grind to a halt and focas on business of just surviving instead of achieving more. I was not this way before and if it is anything involving my daughters or family I can be counted on 100 % to follow thru. But when It comes to myself I seem to just not have it in me. Any ideas?

Lucifer was the highest of all the angels and the most beautiful. When he rebelled he was cast down but was he really punished in the same sense as sinners? He does not seem to suffer an absence of Gods light but instead seems to be given the task of separating the wheat from the chaff as it were in mankind. Those that fall to temptation ( key word temptation , we all have free will) he punishes those that do not yield to it are following god's wishes. I feel that since the angels were created to serve God then Lucifer was given the task of being the "bad guy" either by choice or not. And as an angel he has no other recourse but to serve God's will. Any ideas?
