  • Does this mean I'm getting the job?

Applied to a buffet online, got a call a week later, asked me to come in tomorrow, told me not to bring my resume and just my social security number and a photo i.d. He didn't say the word 'interview'. Just getting a clarification that I'm probably just gonna answer some questions and get hired on the spot if they like me?

  • Movie Theater job qualifications, what does this requirement mean?

So I was reading requirements for a job at a movie theater and it said Education/Experience: Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion required. What does this mean?

  • What is my high school GPA so far...?

    Freshman year: 3.6

Sophomore year: 2.8 (I know what you're thinking, I'm so disgusted as well)

    Junior year: 3.2

Would you just average it? So 3.2?

  • Jobs for highschoolers that allow you to wake up early?

I'm asking this again because I initially asked this question at 6am, my bad lol.

I know this is an odd question coming from a teenager, but I actually like being up early. 6 am, it's quiet and peaceful outside, the sun is rising, the birds are chirping, there are also a bunch of health benefits too, lol idk. But it's nice. I'm 17, I know there's Starbucks - I sent an application a few days ago, and there's that typical answer of newspaper boy, but I might not be up for going to people's neighborhoods, some could be sketch y'know, plus my only transportation would be walk or take public transportation (the max/bus - which I'm fine with since adults with office jobs/early birds are already on the max so it wouldn't be like a sketch ghost town like train ride to the city) For obvious reasons I don't want to say where I live, but I live near a really good city/downtown - I take the max there if it wasn't clear. My neighborhood is next to a bunch of shops as well, like Starbucks, old navy, etc. - the jobs that I could walk to. What I'm basically asking is if anyone knows of any early bird jobs (around 6am) that I could apply to? If I find nothing, I might just settle with a 9 o'clock job and come up with an excuse to wake up at 6 everytime...Thanks!

  • Can you still apply to colleges even if you don't have the required gpa?

I'm planning to apply to USC, NYU, UC Schools, Carnegie Mellon, etc next year (I'm a junior) but their gpa's are around 3.6. If I get straight A's next semester (which I believe I can get) then I'm guessing (through calculations) that I'll have a 3.3 to go into senior year. Doing my research, I always see those accepted, not accepted charts where it has colored dots on past applicants, some that had low gpa's still git in... So my basic question is, will I have a chance to get into one of those colleges, even though my gpa is below the requirement? (Assuming I'll either have good SAT/ACT scores and/or good essay/letters?) Thanks.

  • If colleges require 4 yrs of English...?

I'm really confused. Most colleges require students to have have 4 years of passing grades in English. But seniors apply for colleges in the first semester of the beginning of their 4th year. The grades for first sem and second sem of their 4th year wouldn't be out yet. So technically they've only accomplished 3 years of passing grades in English...And yet they still get accepted? Can someone explain to me this?

  • What is non western theatre?

And some examples? (Other than kabuki, noh, kathalaki, etc). I have to perform a short piece to my class and I would rather not have to dance, puppet, etc. Thanks!

  • Can I use a movie monologue for an audition?

An audition for a play, movie, etc. Also, the monologue is very theatrical! I'd add where the monologue's from but it's an old underrated movie. Sorry for keeping this vague!

  • With this description, what do you think my major should be?

I like researching things, making lists and I guess money and math? For example, I made a pros and cons list of the colleges i wanted to go to including adding up the tuition and rent (if I were to stay in an apartment, dorm, or even sorority). Since I am still in high school, I calculated the amount of money I were to save if I got a steady job paying minimum wage 'till the time I go to college. I'm not sure hat major this is close like to. Econ? Statistics? I'm not really sure.

  • Geometry questions?!?! n-gons?

I'm soo confused and I left my geo book in my locker!

    1) Find the measures of an interior angle and an exterior angle of a regular 16-gon.

    2) For questions a and b, find the value of n for each regular n-gon described

    a. Each interior angle of the regular n-gpn has a measure of 175.2 degrees.

    b. Each exterior angle of the regular n-gon has a measure of 3 degrees.

If you could explain to me step by step so I understand that would be great! And if you want, answers would also help to see if I'm doing it right, thanks!

  • Do colleges reeeally care about attendance?

Throughout this school year I've been sick for about 3 times already (totaling about 1 week of absences) and I just wanted to know if this is affecting a great impact on my chances on going to a good college. I'm a sophomore and an averaged B student so yeah...during my freshman year I was a B- student and my attendance was perfect except maybe 3 days?

PS: I don't want to go to public college..

    Thanks!

  • Lights behind steering wheel won't turn on?

I have a Toyota car but I'm sure it doesn't matter since all cars have lights behind their steering wheel. It's night and I can't see my speed barometer nor how much gas I've got and I need to go into town later....thanks! Btw, the only thing that has light are the radio buttons (but not the radio station), the time, and the Park Reverse etc. and the lights outside of the car..Thanks again.
