Can I get an ID card in California if I already hold a driver's license in Nevada?
How will obtaining an ID card in California effect my legal driving status in Nevada?

2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI don't remember "choosing" to be straight.... do you?
I keep hearing that sexual orientation is a choice, but I can't remember a time when I decided that I was attracted to women. It's just the way it was. Granted I've experimented with quite a spectrum of drugs in my days, but I really don't think I've suffered any severe memory loss.
So, if sexual orientation is a choice, when did you choose?
23 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAre you hearty enough in battle for Odin to admit you into Valhalla?
What level of "battle heartiness" do you think you've achieved?
Please make up a scale (like 1 to 10 or chimpan-A to chimpan-Z) to illustrate your "battle heartiness".
I'm probably a chimpan-Q (chimpan-Z being heartiest)

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians: would you leave a loaded handgun in your child's toy box?
This scenario seems tantamount to the whole Tree of Knowledge thing to me. Can someone explain the difference to me? Or was the Tree of Knowledge essential to Eden's ecosystem for some reason?
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAre religious folks making April Fools Day jokes like a creepy uncle that keeps telling you to pull his finger?
Except for the fact that the "pull my finger" joke was at least funny the first time...
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan anyone think of a good design idea for an impurity ring?
The Yamster is breaking my balls on this question. How many revisions do I need until this question posts? Doesn't seem half as offensive as most of the questions on here, does it?
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf someone needs a ring to remind them not to have sex...?
... aren't we giving them too much credit by assuming that they will be able to figure out how to have sex in the first place? Are these the same chicks that actually fall into the toilet when you leave the seat up?
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoA question about erosion to the creationists (young earthers need not answer... you're lost already)?
I haven't heard many creationists question the validity of erosion. How does the notion that everything requires an intelligent designer coincide with erosion? By a creationists standpoint, things like the Grand Canyon could not have come about without an intelligent source, yet I'd imagine that most would still accept that the canyon is a result of millions of years of water erosion.
How do you reconcile these conflicting viewpoints?
*Please note* Simply saying that your version of god designed the water to erode the land away doesn't get you off the hook. You're still back to a baseless claim.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI'm considering going into the religion business, but I'm unsure that I can keep a straight face...?

Are there any Christian missionaries that could assist me in this field? I hear they're the best.

2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhere did the notion that atheists are trying to take prayer out of school come about?
Have some atheist organizations developed some sort of mind control or mind reading device that I'm not aware of? Or are the fundie groups just mad that the teacher can no longer lead classes in group prayers? I mean, if you want to live in a theocracy, I've heard that Iran is nice this time of year...
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCould all the money that has been dumped into religion be better spent?
Religion is a multi-billion dollar industry that sells nothing. 90% of money taken into a church, temple, synagogue etc, goes right into upkeep of the building and grounds itself. I mean, is Vatican City really what a figure like Jesus (meek and mild) would have envisioned with all of its extravagance and wealth? And then the pope declares that being obscenely wealth is sinful? What the hell is going on here?
This question is aimed more toward the supporters of the (insert religion here) faith.
I imagine that the non-religious on this forum would agree that it could have been used for far better means, but I always like to here from you anyway, so don't be shy.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking: have you ever done an "upper-decker"?
Where is the most inappropriate place that you've done an upper-decker? Is there any other hilarious terminology for upper-deckers?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAre we getting a skewed perception of our opposition here on R&S?
I'd guess that your average atheist, Christian, Muslim, Jew (etc, etc) doesn't take their beliefs (or lack there of) too seriously and think pretty little about it. The people that come to a religious forum to debate religion are likely to hold a pretty strong and emotional stance on religion.
So, do you think that the individuals on R&S are good representatives for the average atheist/ Christian/ Muslim/ Jew etc?
Do we judge groups too harshly based on the folks we meet on R&S?
