I am a freshman in college and my senior appaloosa pony is currently living and working at a therapy barn, in his old age i know that they are having trouble keeping weight on him and this winter i wanted to provide him with a nice heavyweight blanket. Unfortunately being in college, i'm kinda low on money and need the cheapest but most durable blanket i can find!! Any suggestions??

I'm starting to compete in hunter/jumpers and i have been competing in eventing my whole life. I know that most hunters put their hair under their helmet, but my hairs thick and long, and having all that hair up under the helmet can cause my helmet to do an inefficient job protecting my head, and its uncomfortable. How else could i do my hair? Could i use my eventing show bow/hairnet?

how would i go about doing that?

I have thought about using some fondant but don't know how to make it silver/gray let alone add the detail. Any suggestions??

PLEASE HELP MY FINAL IS TOMORROW, i have spent 4 hours working on my review sheet and this is the only question i can't answer. And i have looked extensively for info. The only setting i have been able to find is Devon, and i know the purpose/symbolism and i can't think of any others besides Leper's house and i don't know the purpose of his house and the tree but i can't think of how to phrase its purpose!!

I have a horse who has rain rot and everyone i ask tells me to use a saline solution but i have heard it will stain the coat. I have 2 big competitions coming up and since he's an appaloosa any staining would make him look very dirty and uncared for which is definitely not the case, i LOVE my pony more than life! I don't want to give people the impression that i don't care for my horse.

Would cap-tan work well instead? i have heard it treats rain rot well.

What about MTG? i have heard good things about it too.

I live in Georgia and it seems we have gone from no rain to non stop rain and of course my horse now has fungus. How can i remove this fungus quickly and without too much bathing?

I have heard MTG works well but what do you think and how do you use if for fungus removal?

I am horse "browsing" at the moment and i came across a cute little mare that is pigeon toed. How will this affect her in the long run? Will it increase lameness? Make jumping certain heights more difficult? Make it harder for her to balance or effect dressage scores? Or is it just a conformational issue that won't significantly affect her performance?

Should i get two females, two males or one of each? We don't really want them breeding, but are main concern is them fighting, we know we need two, because both my parents work and since i'm a jr in hs AND compete horse AND in marching band, and my brother goes to a private school (blah) a about an 1 and 1/2 away, we don't want them getting lonely.

If we get a male and a female, is there anyway to ensure they don't breed? Besides separating them, since i doubt they can be spayed or neutered. We want it to be happy and if that means having a boy and a girl than so be it. But what combination do you have? How is it working out?
