  • HP DV5-Z Overheat and Lockup I think? What's causing my lockup?

I have an HP DV5-Z with the following (relevant) hardware specs:

    AMD Turion ZM-80

    ATI Radeon HD3200 IGP

    Windows 7 x64 Build 7100 Installed April 2009

Since about July 15th, the laptop ends up giving me a deathscreen and locks up all input commands. Not even caps lock or the touchpad light remain interactive. This happens after the most moderate use of light gaming or video watching. It looks something like this

How can I keep this from happening again and again?

I think this is an overheating issue but I want to be sure. There are no crash dump files which makes me believe it is not software associated. If more details are needed i'll post. Thanks in advance.

  • Do most people in major metropolitan areas have their driver's license?

Just a quick non-random sample survey question for everyone who lives in a major city. Or if you don't, just feel free to post your experience or even your hunch and mess with the data. Thank you in advance.

  • Can someone help me translate some English into Japanese for a poem?

I am trying to write a poem using several different languages for an art class. I fell in love with Japanese when I first heard it, but am having trouble learning it.

Basically, I need this next phrase translated and transliterated so I can throw it in there. The parts in parentheses are for reference. The last thing I need is a bad translation for this thing.

"Beat (as in heartbeat) with the fury of sacrifice. Silent Lion - Stoic Prophet (as in holy prophet)."

    Thanks in advance.

  • Can I combine bandwidth from two independent sources?

I go to a State school in CT where the on campus rooms have bandwidth caps on them. In my particular room, I have two internet jacks, each of which run independently from each other. Each have a cap of 350kbps (I know, it's pathetic).

In one of the buildings on campus, they have one internet jack per room, even though two people live in each bedroom. So they give those residents a hub which allows both of them to be on at the same time, I believe with a cap of double since two people may be on it.

My question is, since I have two jacks in my room, can I combine them and get the same effect? I cannot run my Xbox Live and since I edit video and audio sometimes, transferring files can be downright brutal. If I combine them, will I get download speeds of 700kbps? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I accidentally posted this in the wrong category first, sorry for the double post.

  • Kenwood KDC-MP6025 Aux input not coming up anymore, where is it?

When I scroll through the sources it goes through Tuner, CD, and standby but I used to have another option, Aux input, which was directly connected by a stereo mini cable. Now the option does not come up. Can someone help by explaining how this happened or how I can fix it?
