i am getting 2-3 baby rattie females (from a professional breeder :) and was wondering if any of you rat lovers have an example of your cage or any fun cage set ups. what types of beds,toys,food brands etc. do you recommend? anything you know about a rattie habitat, just write below please :)

i am planning on getting 2-3 adorable girl ratties in the near future. I am into the "Marshall Estate" (ferret cage), and CritterNation cage. i was just wondering if a 1 inch bar space is way to big to keep my girls in. if so, what is a good spacing?

my little hamster was only maybe 6 or 7 months old and died 2 days ago :( she had a clean cage, fresh food and water, and was very normal & active the couple days before she passed. How could she have died?
