How do I get rid of computer noise?
Whenever I plug my headphones in to the computer, this random noise is present in them. I hear it through the speakers, whenever it's really quiet in my house as well. ????
4 AnswersOther - Computers9 years agoCan I gain my hearing back?
I seem to have a slight loss of hearing in my Left ear. Not sure if one ear is supposed to be more sensitive than the other, but i've just noticed my left is less receptive, than my right.
3 AnswersOther - Health9 years agoIs he right, has he been faithful just because they didn't have full sex?
I found a picture on my boyfriend's phone of a girl showing off her boobs and there were others where she was performing oral sex on him. Although it was obvious he didn't want me to find these pictures, he says he doesn't see a problem as they have never had penis-vagina or anal sex. He says he's managed to resist even when she was begging for it. He admitted that it might have been different if they had somewhere to go to 'do it' comfortably, but as she's a girl from work they couldn't find a place where they wouldn't be caught at it. Apparently she is leaving soon and he says he doesn't expect to see her again. I don't know what to do or think. Strangely enough, what hurt me the most was when he said she 'understands' him better than I do.
19 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoAs tar sands and oil shales will not be able to provide more than one tenth of oil demand, how are we going..?
in ten years time, how are we going to cope with declining oil supplies in the future?
Whenever questions come up about Peak Oil, someone always mentions unconventional oil sources as the great saviour of the world, but even if money was poured into extraction schemes and everything went well they MIGHT produce 6 million barrels of oil a day in 20 years' time. To keep up with current demand we would need 10 times that much capacity, not allowing for growth.
Isn't it time the Governments of the world woke up and did something about preparing their nations for a world of ever declining oil supplies? Dr Birol of the International Energy Agency has stated that the peak of conventional oil supplies should appear in about 2030, but the report from the UK Energy Research Centre has, after careful study of all the available data, stated there is a 'significant risk' that the peak will hit 'before 2020.' That means we really should be getting on with sorting out renewable alternatives now, don't you think?
5 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoIf there were no state welfare system in place, would you help out your neighbour if they were cold and hungry?
If people were prepared to help each other in bad times, there wouldn't be a need to help out those experiencing unemployment and poverty using taxpayers money, would there?
Libertarians and free market economists would just leave the hopeless and helpless to starve and die, that's what they advocate, isn't it?
3 AnswersCommunity Service1 decade agoIs Sarah Palin really involved with the people that want to burn children for being accused of witchcraft?
It seems Mrs Palin was chuffed to bits that a man called Pastor Muthee bestowed a 'blessing' on her.
This guy is an advocate of the appalling practise of witch hunting in communities in Africa. These people accuse children of being witches and they are beaten, starved and often burned to death.
Not only children, but sometimes elderly, vulnerable women are accused of witchcraft and hacked to death.
Is this kind of association what you really want from a representative of the people? Someone 'palling around' with child killers?
14 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoDo you know for sure that the candy your kids got for trick or treat is not contaminated with Chinese milk?
Watch a few minutes of the link I have here, (although I have to say he gets most of what he wants to say across in the first 5 minutes), and ask yourself, How much contamination am I prepared to tolerate when it comes to the food my children eat?

Now that it si clear the world economy is going down the plughole, where can I convert my savings into a solid asset? The polices in place now are going to lead to hyperinflation, and I need something that won't lose it's value.

As the Chinese baby formula milk scandal deepens and other products such as yogurts are found to have been poisoned, do Tesco and other big supermarkets stock these products?
10 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoChinese dairy products scandal! Do British supermarkets stock these products? Have any been recalled yet?
As the Chinese baby milk scandal deepens and contamination is found in other products such as drinks and yogurts, do we know if any of these products are sold here in Britain?
6 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoDo British supermarkets stock Chinese dairy products?
Considering the baby mild scandal has spread to other dairy products such as yogurts, shouldn't we know if these things are being stocked in Britain?
Have any Chinese milk products been recalled in this country?
9 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoDo you know about Operation Brimstone? Is War with Iran really necessary or wise?
There are a large number of warships headed for Iran from the US, Britain and France, positioning themselves to set up a blockade around Iran. This is a blatant act of war. It seems Bush is determined to drag us into World War III, for no other reason than to steal yet another country's oil. The Iraq conflict was all about oil, and to some extent, so is this. You really have to be extremely stupid to think it was about removing Saddam or 'regime change'. After all America has no problem dealing with despots such as the Saudi Arabians, who preside over one of the most repressive and brutal regimes in the world.
Here's some information about the next war in the offing:

Basically, a huge chunk of ice shelf has snapped off into the sea, and the implications are that we have to do something about Global Warming, FAST!!!
36 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoAre Canadians prejudiced against the disabled?
My freind and her family, who applied to emigrate to Canada and were assured they had permission to enter, are being held at Border Control for the past two days because the Border Control officer insists they would not have given permission for a 'child like that' to enter the country.
The officer is referring to my friend's disabled daughter. Before they sold up here and bought a house and business in Canada they were told they had permission, and had declared everything they needed to in their application.
So why are they being told they have to return to England?
My friend is in a dreadful state, and this officer is refusing to give the name of her superior.
What can they do?

6 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoIsn't it time to admit the American Dream is dead?
With the Republican Party having mismanaged the economy to the state where it has almost universally collapsed, and their inability to tell the truth about the dwindling of the earth's resources and the need to face up to some hard truths about the future, isn't it time to change the expectations of the people to something more realistic than the lives they lead now?
The days of living selfish, environmentally destructive lives is over. The fraudulent way the Federal Reserve (which is NOT a Government body) generates money is unsustainalbe. The Government cannot afford to prop up failing organisations like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and if it does, the rest of the American encomy will disappear into a black hole. Game Over.
30 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWith the prediction that oil will reach $200 a barrel, without speculators, isn't this the Peak?
Isn't it time we all admitted we've reached Peak Oil and stop pretending that things can go on as they always have. We need solutions and we need them now. Are any of the politians that are supposed to serve us going to do anything about this?
Are you going to ask your political representative to outline what they plan to do about making our countries self sufficent in fuel production without the use of agrofuels? How are they proposing we feed ourselves without fossil fuel food production? What plans do they have for sustainable communities?
Biofuels as they stand are NOT the answer, as you need fossil fuel to grow them, they worsen poverty and hunger, and involve the destruction of rainforest.
How are we going to cope?
6 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoHow does social class affect access to health services?
You would think in a place like the UK, with free health care at the piont of need, that access to health care wouldn't be affected by social class, but apparently, according to the Black Report it is. Why?
