Atheists and evolutards footing the bill for a Christian science school?
Thank you atheists, creation science will live on.
:)
GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — It was labeled "4th grade science quiz. Dinosaurs: Genesis and the Gospel."
Eighteen questions. The first four were true or false.
The earth is billions of years old. A lopsided pencil mark circled false.
Dinosaurs lived millions of years ago, another circle: false.
It went on from there, testing students on the beginning of the world according to creationism, the belief that the literal interpretation of the first book of the Bible explains it all. Both were marked correct.
Before long, the quiz was posted on the social news website Reddit, unleashing a firestorm of criticism on Blue Ridge Christian Academy, a tiny private Christian school in northern Greenville County.
In what board chair Joy Hartsell says shows God is at work in the world, the controversy may be what saves the school from closing.
About six weeks ago, parents were told that the school would close May 31 because the founder and major donor would no longer make up the loss in operating expenses, said Diana Baker, the director.
"We may have found the path to get the money," Hartsell said Friday.
So far, about $10,000 toward the $200,000 needed to stay open next fall has been received and more checks arrive in the mail every day, Baker said.
3 AnswersOther - Politics & Government6 years agoCoin collecting as an investment?
For some reason, I got this idea of what I want to do with coin collecting. I am fascinated by old copper coins - mainly later date large cents, but I like just about all types from colonial on up through the braided hair series. I have a large 3 ring binder, that could easily hold 50 or 60 pages full of coins, though I only have 3 pages in it right now, one filled with 16 old coppers.
I'm 32, so 30 years or so til retirement. If I fill this binder up with 50 or 60 or 100 pages of old copper coins, so that it's overflowing after 30 years, do you think that would help with my retirement?
I'm doing it right now because I love doing it, but I got to thinking of the investment aspect...
3 AnswersHobbies & Crafts6 years agoAtheists, do you think that dinosaurs knew you before you were concieved... Would they have died for your sins?
Can a soul be saved with a telescope, or a rock hammer?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoAtheists, if I drove my car off of a bridge, and went way down, like 35 feet...?
You would not be able to hear it, see it, smell it, taste it, or feel it.
It must not actually exist right?
21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoAtheists, are you the type of person who would go fishing, catch a large carp, and then go to a poor neighborhood and try to sell the meat?
as catfish?
Just curious.
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoAtheists don't appreciate the generous spirit of the God Particle man...?
Leon Lederman, Nobel prize laureate who discovered the God particle in 1988 is selling off his gold medal for charity.
When will atheists join in and give to churches, charities, etc...?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoAtheists, if a car drives off a bridge into the ocean, and sinks way down.....?
Like 50 feet, there's no way to see it, or hear it, or taste it, or smell it, or feel it.
So, it must not exist. Right?
29 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoAtheists, I seem to be having some trouble here. You claim that black holes exist...?
But I've never seen one in my life!
All that time I spent searching and search... All those nights I used up looking through the telescope.
Sometimes I thought I could see the EFFECTS THAT THE BLACK HOLE HAD ON THINGS CLOSE TO IT, but I sure couldn't see a black hole.
And of course, witnessing the effects something has on things around it isn't evidence of existence. Right?
10 AnswersJokes & Riddles6 years agoAtheists, how do you explain the new discoveries which show that velociraptors had lips?
This was obviously not something that "evolved" for eating meat.
This is actually more in line with the hypothesis that dinosaurs lived in the garden of Eden about 5000 years ago and ate plants, melons, and nuts before the original sin.
17 AnswersJokes & Riddles6 years agoRepublicans, if Jesus wanted to make a point, why didn't he get a group of gays or communists to kill him?
Why did he feel the need to make the soldiers look so bad?
Could it be that he was some sort of liberal hippie frisbie player?
5 AnswersMen's Health6 years agoAtheists, do you approve of Mexican food? What about eating in rooms other than the kitchen?
I tell ya... I don't have a problem with it, but last night my wife bought us some Tamales, and wow, my wife really likes to get a lot of hot sauce on that Tamale before she eats it. We actually brought them into the bedroom last night, and ate right there on the bed. The thing with my wife is that when she eats, she tries to talk alot, and last night, lo and behold, she accidentally dropped the Tamale right out of her mouth and onto the bed. There was hot sauce everywhere. It was really gross.
10 AnswersEthnic Cuisine6 years agoAre there any questions that DON'T offend atheists?
All I asked was how they can consider themselves American citizens when this is one nation under God.
I also politely asked why atheists have no morals, values, ethics, or principles.
Then I simply ventured to find out if they believe that potatoes don't exist because you can't see them when they're underground.
And Wooooaaahhhh... all that commotion. I don't see why atheists are so easily offended

28 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoAtheists, do you ever feel strange about the people you're lumped together with?
Most people seem to lump atheists into the same category as liberals, gays, communists, abortionists, etc. Some of you are all about that kind of stuff, but some aren't.
Does it ever bother you that a large percentage of the population associates the word "atheist" with those things?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians, why didn't Jesus get himself killed by war protesters if he wanted to make a point about society..?
He went to his death knowing full well that the soldiers would look like the bad guys in the end.
Why would he do that? And why would you worship someone who was anti-military?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoI have a question for atheists....?
If someone offered you 4000 dollars, would you run your fingers through your beard on a webcam for a few hours?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoAtheists, are you communist? Are you sympathetic to communist?
Cause I've never seen a gay rhinoceros, or mule, or ferret, or mocking bird, or salamander, or stick bug, or antelope, humming bird, or pigeon, or goose...
Or a gay hyena, or cheetah, or moose, or sea lion, or whale, or tarantula, hamster, or mongoose, or kangaroo, kangaroo, mole, or hawk, or gopher...
Or a gay grizzly bear, or mouse, or termite, or vole, or mountain lion, or coyote, or dalmation, or porcupine, or alligator, or sloth, or gila monster.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoDo atheists really know what the word "atheist" means?
It's rare to find a true atheists. Nearly everyone the world worships something. Many don't realize it, but when you watch a sports game, root for one team, read about the team in the paper, listen to people talk about them on the radio, etc, you are actually worshipping that team. Therefore, very few actual "atheists" exist.
It's a tricky subject, but most psychologists agree that humans have an innate sense of a higher power at birth.
