Just moved house and I'm wondering if this is a router problem (new router).

Basically I cant find any hardcore games and only a few games at all (if I remove all the search parameters) I haven't played the game with the new update (china rising maps) as I have been without internet for a few weeks.

Had some issues with my router (virgin media superhub) but are resolved now, any ideas anyone?

I've tried removing the update which allowed me to find some non hardcore games, but still laggy and only 2/3 games available.

I have just moved all my comuter componants from one case to another. Everything works fine but I cannot connect to my wifi (now using my gfs laptop).

If i go to my device manager, down to network adapters it shows 'realtek RTL8168C/8111C family PCI-E Ggabit ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)' as 'This device is working properly'.

The original PC (a HP pavilion m9162.uk) had built in WiFi, am I assuming I need to buy a wireless card here? I have moved everything across to the new case except the front SD card readers and a tv output card so nothing is missing.

Or is it because I have failed to connect something properly? ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a hp pavilion m9162 desktop computer, it has a quad core processor @2.4, 3gb RAM and 512mb graphics card.

The question is... How can I make this a better computer for gaming on? I don't really want to spend £600 on a new desktop unit so what should I do? more RAM, a new graphics card? or is it better to just get a new gaming PC in a fancy case?

What would you recommend?

I have a malawi tank with a load of rocks in it. I've set up a spare tank for the inevitable fry fest but I'm finding it a real chore taking all the rocks out and losing most of the fry to greedy fish.

Anyone have any tips on catching just the pregnant fish? I've looked at using a plastic bottle with the top half inside the bottom but it looks like that isnt going to work.

I'm trying to get a decent metal tone for a drop C tunning on my Schecter C-1 series. I am just using my Spider III amp (120watts).

Can anyone recomend which strings, which drive/bass/mid/treble settings to use (and if you have a Spider amp too...which amp model to use) and also what actual guitar settings to use? (normally I just wack the dials to max on the guitar and have the pickup selector on down (high trebles???)

I rent a house and I recently replaced the shower head on my electric shower as the old one was very grubby.

The water runs very hot on full power now which I suspect is a result of the new shower head restricting the flow of water, I unscrewed the shower head and water runs fine out of the pipe on 'full power'.

How do I know which shower head to buy? should the shower head match the KW of the electric shower? (7.5KW) or is there some other unit of measurement I should be using to determine which shower head I need?

The shower is a Galaxy Mystique and spare shower heads run at £30!!! on their site. I'd really rather avoid this extortionate fee by buying from a local DIY shop if I can.

I just watched a video on youtube of some bad company 2 footage and the guy had additional weapon sets on the class selection screen.

It said assault/engineer/medic/recon but also assault+/engineer+/etc etc.

I'm looking for suggestions on what to get for my newly planted 4ft tank (4x2x2).

Ideally I don't want something that will ruin the plants, but is still very interesting.

Yeah this is probably the most asked question in this section ever, but I'd rather ask a person then get a vague general answer from a google link, so I apologise in advance.

I am 21 and weigh about 10-11 stone which is just perfect BMI for my height apparantly (6ft 2). I have always been on the skinny size despite a poor diet of fatty foods and sugars and whilst I dont consider myself very skinny I would like to build my body a little for the sake of a six pack and some thicker arms.

What is the best way to go about this? I'm told protein pills can help you put on weight in order to build muscles when you lift weights, I'm thinking this is the road to go down since I cant seem to get fat no matter how much and what I eat.

Anyone have any ideas for my tank?

It is tall and long but not very wide, I used to have a large green terror but dropsy got to it :(

I was thinking of a Mbu puffer fish but they get too large for my tank. I was also thinkiing of a snake head but the tank isnt wide enough.

My question is...does anyone have any suggestions what fish I should get, I want one fish, it must be active or aggressive and about 5-6" for the majority of its life.

Different types of puffer would be ideal.

My green terror is bloated badly, there are no marks on the fish and the scales look fine (apart from being a little stretched due to the swelling). the only unusual thing i can say is that its poo was clear and remained attached to the fish for a while.

Could this be a parasite? or just swim bladder?

I currently have a 5" female green terror with which I'm having a few food problems with.

It would seem that she only eats bloodworm, I've tried flake, peas, prawns, and cichlid pellets of which she will only eat the bloodworm.

My question therefore is 'does anyone know of any particular GT food interests'? Bloodworm is fine but it is a bit costly to feed twice a day and I like to keep my fish in a mixed diet.

Last night at work I suffered a 'tunnel vision' effect, or atleast thats what i think it was.

My vision was such that although i could make out some things in my peripheral vision, it was very hard to and kind of blurry, in order to see I had to move my eye to each part of the object i was trying to see, this made reading very hard as I had to look at each letter and word rather than just skimming over like you would normally.

This occured at about 10:30pm and continued till around 12 midnight where i was driven home feeling sick. I vomited around 12:30.

Please can you help me diagnose this as it was quite freaky, I have looked on wikipedia and possible causes for 'tunnel vision' seems like blood preasure and air conditions.

My workplace is both free of these factors.

I am thinking it may have been to do with the amount of sugar I had drank (2 cans of coke, 1 capri sun) in the last hour before symptoms arose, or it could possibly be due to food posoning or something.

Anyone any ideas what it could have been? anyone had this?

Ok, so i have been keeping tropical fish for a number of years and have always used water conditioner and water that is the right temperature when doing water changes.

However, today i went to someone from a 'aquarist classifieds' site's house and he had lots of tank filled with huge rare discus. he claimed he never used water conditioner and just used cold water from his tap when doing his water changes (twice a day!) and said there was no point.

I'm quite shocked by this having spent hundreds (litterally) on water conditioner over the years having thought chlorine is poisonous to fish.

To prove his point, he did a water change right there and then, water from the cold tap, no conditioner.

I'd like to point out at this point, his fish were very impressive (super red discus/red ghost discus).

My question is therefore...anyone else do this? does it work?

I currently have an overflow box setup as part of my project but i need to know what size fitting i need for the bulkhead.

The holes in the overflow box are 32mm big, so what size bulkhead do i need? i searched for a 32mm bulkhead but the '32mm' seemed to be for the pipes, rather than the hole it fits, infact it said in the description that it 'requires atleast a 42mm hole'.

If anyone knows what size bulkhead i need that would help, if you get me a link to a shopping site in the UK you get the 10 points best answer....First come first served!

I need a little help with my sump project.

I currently have a sump, with the pump to pump the water back up to the main tank.

However, I'm having trouble figuring out how to have the water come back into the sump. Ideally i should get the tank drilled. But i cant, so I'm looking for other ideas.

I was told at my local shop that I could use a syphon to take the water out. but if thats the case, what happens if the power goes out?

Even if i made a hole at the top of the syphon so that if the water level drops too much air will stop the syphon working. but if i did that, then what happens when the power comes back on? the syphon will have stopped and my tank will be flooded!

If anyone can think of any ideas i would be gratefull!

I was have looked into one of those overflow boxs, but they are really expensive, and would not fit on the side of my tank as it has a lid.

I have an issue getting feeder fish though as they seem quite expensive at my local shop £2-4 each.

Is there any online place i can buy them in bulk, say like 20 comet goldfish?
