  • Why do some consider themselves Christian and believe in war?

Christians follow Jesus, and thus use the new testament as a predominant source. There are so many references in the bible where Jesus condemns violence. I don't think I need to give an example. I do not feel bad Osama was shot in the head because I am not Christian. But, god forbid the president be atheist because that means his or hers morals are non-existent. Most wars fought have been over religion, not atheism so that argument is not legitimate. Some soldiers in Iraq are christian and are fighting bravely. They see atrocities that would make any man or women deny god. I just don't get it! Do you?

  • Given that companies pay lots of money for Advertisements, will Rugby ever be popular in the USA?

Lets ponder this a little more. Entities pay millions of dollars each to advertise on television during football, basketball, and baseball games. Football games contain tens of minutes of stoppage time accumulating from time outs, tv time outs, change of possession time outs, injury time outs, the two minute warning, and this is just to name a few. Baseball in general is a long game. The players warm up at the bottom and top of the inning, the game has no time limit, and again this is to just name a few stoppages. Basketball is not nearly as bad when it comes to stoppage time, but each team gets 6 time outs a half I believe, T.V. time outs, injury time outs, and halftime. This only includes the ones I can think of off the time of my head.

My question is since most of this stoppage time is dedicated to advertisements, which equals millions of dollars in revenues to t.v. networks, will lobbyists find a way to discourage the popularity of rugby? Rugby is non stop for two forty five minute halves. Those who are injured are cared for on the field during live play. The ball is in constant motion, and the clock doesn't stop. At half time most viewers use the restroom and move around for a bit. Networks are not stupid and they know people will not being watching the television for the most part after the Rugby half, which will discourage advertisements. Will America find a way to shut down rugby much like what happened to Soccer?

  • Why do some insist that lower taxes creates jobs?

Taxes are at an all time low. Yet, unemployment is at nearly 10%. These so called job creators haven't seen the bat signal in the sky it looks like.

Clinton had higher taxes, but many middle class Americans lived the good life. My grandparents, to be more personal, had really high tax rates under the presidents of the 40's, 50's, and 60's, but they were still able to build a 2 story house in a prime location in San Diego without a college education. So what I want to know is, do these job builders really want to invest for other people, or do they only invest for themselves. To simplify, why aren't these job creators doing their job?
