If you teach Sunday School, what could your supervisor do to help? Btw, the kids are hyperactive and many, the teachers are few (no assistants!) and the budget is tiny! yikes! :/

My 8 year old daughter has not excelled as I thought she would. She is at the beginning of the first grade level. She was born with a physical birth defect and I wonder if she also has a learning disability. I am doing the same things with her that I did for her brother and he has done fine. I mentioned this to her doctor. The doctor said "Let's send her somewhere to have her tested. They can find out her learning style and help you to know how to teach her. She may just learn differently than her brother does. If she needs remediation, the public school can help with that." To which I said "The school can help without me enrolling her?" and the doctor implied that they could. I looked up the info for the place they are sending us to and it is a psychologist. Now I am worried that I will be FORCED to enroll her in public school because they may deem me "unable to provide adequate education". Should I be worried. Do any of you have any experience with this?

We just returned to a marriage conference that said that 90% of Christian couples do not do this. (We are talking about ALOUD and TOGETHER, not during personal prayer time). The speaker spoke of the intimacy and bond this would create in a marriage. I'm just curious. Do you do this?

I will be ordering for 1st and 4th grades. It will take a LOT of penny pinching to do this but it really looks like what I want. If you've used them, are you glad you did?
