  • Will running make me lose weight?

I'm a female who is almost 17 and I'm extremely thin, I remember the last time I weighed myself a few months back I was like 7 stone and a bit. I don't "starve myself" and I actually eat lots of junk food but I just don't seem to put on weight :(.

I've begun to start running again after not doing it for ages, I want to do it because I enjoy it, I like being active and it helps me to get rid of stress but I'm concerned that I will lose weight if I run again :(

    What do you think?

  • I'm sick of sick and twisted thoughts, someone help?

I get really sick and intrusive thoughts that just randomly pop into my head involuntarily. These thoughts have been sometimes violent, sexual, but mostly they're really harsh, sick thoughts like wishing death on people, it's really hard to describe but basically something in my head will be like "I want that to happen to them", usually relating to illnesses like cancer or death, and I fight it back like "no, that's horrible, wouldn't wish that on anyone." I noticed it's become almost a reoccurring thought habit, so bad that it randomly happens.

These thoughts make me really distressed, I always think "what if this actually happens to them now, it will be all my fault". I know you're all gonna think I'm a terrible person and I don't blame you, I feel as though if people knew this then they'd quite rightfully not wanna speak to me ever again. These thoughts are just getting more frequent, and I'm sick of them, although I don't want people to know what horrible thoughts I have I just can't stand fighting it alone anymore. I literally go through periods of time when I cry almost every day and my brain physically hurts from the constant battle:(.

I read about it on the internet and apparently it may be OCD but I'm not sure, maybe I'm just a terrible person? :/

  • Is it bad to be called cute by guys?

I've been referred to as "cute" by quite a few guys now and I'm wondering if it's a good thing or not. I'm rather small and I'm really skinny and I don't feel that attractive because of being really skinny to be honest. What do you guys mean by that just like "average" or you just being polite??

  • If someone was born deaf, and has always been deaf then what voice do they hear inside their heads?

Because like essentially your thoughts inside your head are usually in your own voice so if you've never heard your own voice then how would you think?

  • Why do I sometimes worry in my sleep?

Sometimes if I'm really worried about something I'll think about it in my sleep, for example the other week I had to write up a History essay for the next day. I attempted to do it but got confused so I decided to leave it until the next day as I didn't have it until the afternoon so I could ask the teacher about it.

However, when I fell asleep that night I found myself still thinking about it in my sleep, literally it's like my brain is still trying to find the answer, I find it really distressing and frustrating as I'll be trying to focus but cannot find the answer because obviously I'm asleep so I can't, it's sometimes a dream but other times it's literally just like words and questions swirling around in my head when I'm asleep. It's so weird!

I've had it on a few occasions, wondering what it is because I know it's normal to feel worried but it doesn't seem normal when I'm obsessively thinking about it in my sleep, plus this essay wasn't THAT important, it didn't count towards anything official. Anyone know what this is? Is it possible anxiety?

Hope that makes sense, it's kinda hard to explain xD.

  • What does it mean if the net migration rate of a country is a minus?

I know the net migration rate is the measurement of the balance of emigration and immigration rates but what would it mean if a country's net mirgration rate is a minus e.g. -0.6 in Niger?

I thought it would mean not many people move out of Niger because they can't afford it but then I thought a lot of people would want to move away due to push factors e.g. lack of jobs.

Or does it mean a very little amount of people are coming to Niger because it hasn't got many pull factors and opportunities to offer?

I'm sorry if I'm not being clear but I really need help because my Human Geography teacher just didn't bother explaining it.

  • Why has this cat followed me?

The other day I came home from being out with a friend and a cat who I'd never seen before shot out a neighbour's garden (I know this person does not own the cat) and ran over to me. Being an animal lover I gave it attention, but then it followed me to my door and when I went in it just sat in my garden looking up at my house for a bit and then eventually walked away.

Anyway today I walked out of my house, took a few steps forward and realised I'd forgotten something so I went back into my house but left my door open a little bit.

When I opened the door again, this cat was sat at the door just looking up, as if it had been waiting for me! It made me jump because I didn't expect it but I thought it was adorable and couldn't resist saying hello to it. It followed me down the street too, it was literally running after me, it was only when it got off my street/area that it stopped.

Just wondering why it followed me and keeps coming over to me? I don't mind because I love cats, but I'm just curious! Many cats have come over to me before and even tried to get in my house, but this cat had the chance to walk in my house but it didn't, it just waited there for me to come out which seemed pretty strange to me.

Perhaps the cat just likes me and wants attention or is there something more to it? Any ideas?

  • Why do I keep feeling sick?

The past few days I keep feeling sick on and off, but most of the time I can tell I'm not actually going to throw up but I just feel really yucky. I also can't tell if I'm hungry or I just feel sick but it doesn't usually help when I eat so I've lost my appetite a bit.

Last night I actually did throw up a little and today I've eaten and kept it everything down so far but I have no appetite and still feel sick sometimes.

What's wrong with me? It's been really hot where I live so maybe that's effecting me but I'm tired of keep feeling sick, any help? :(

  • Why am I a sickly person? Throw up every now and then?

Every since I was little whenever I was ill 9/10 times the illness would involve me throwing up and just in general I'd throw up a lot, anyway as I've got older it's got a lot better, nowadays unless I'm ill I'll only throw up every few months or so.

So I was just wondering why do I randomly throw up every now and then? Sometimes I will have been fine all day and suddenly feel sick and throw up but then usually straight afterwards I'm fine again. It's really strange, sometimes I just feel sick but don't throw up and other times I do, is there anything wrong with me? I only really throw up every few months or so and I'm usually fine afterwards so luckily I don't think it really affects my weight too much.

  • What age did you have your first kiss?

I know this is a stupid question and I feel like an idiot asking but I kinda feel bad about myself because I'm 16 and I've still not... Things don't look like they're gonna change either...

  • Why does my dog look me in the eye?

I was walking my dog yesterday in park and she was off the lead walking along side me and she kept looking up and sharing eye contact with me, she'd hold it for a few seconds and then looked away.

She also looked like she was "smiling" and she looked really content. People say that when dogs look you in the eye it's because they're challenging you but this wasn't a threatening look at all. Plus I've had her for about 8 years so she's well trained.
