Hissing sound in ears that goes with pulse?
Occasionally I have a hissing sound in my left ear (which I believe may have tinnitus) that seems to go with my pulse (ex. sss...sss...sss) and I want to know what it means.
Please, no noobs who just google an answer to get points, I'm asking for an actual professional's opinion.
4 AnswersOther - Diseases7 years agoWas dragon chain mail used in the past?
I've searched online for the usage of dragon chain mail used in history, but I can't seem to find any references.
If dragon chain mail weave was ever used in the past, how was it used, and what are it's pros and cons?
2 AnswersMythology & Folklore7 years agoCan I make a non-wireless printer wireless with a wireless printer?
Lol, the question may seem confusing, but it's really not. I'm simply asking if it's possible to make a normal printer wireless by hooking it up to a printer that IS wireless.
I know about the wireless router and print server setups. I'm asking if it can be done with a printer to printer connection, because my wireless printer is nowhere near computers, and my wired printer is connected to one of my computers.
I would like to remove the wired printer from my room, while still being able to use it, without hooking it up to the router (whose area has no space for a printer), thus connecting to the wireless printer would be ideal.
Any other suggestions that avoid connecting the printer to a computer or router would be appreciated.
Thanks.
4 AnswersPrinters7 years agoIs aging movement in an unperceived direction?
Is aging truly caused by the buildup of entropic energy in our bodies, or is it a constant movement in an unseen direction (4th or higher spacial dimension), or is it some combination of both?
Are we born in three dimensions, and exist mainly in 3 dimensions, or are we large in the fourth dimension and slowly moving through the 3rd dimension to our deaths?

They have nothing in common, other than their current nonexistence. They don't violate any guidelines of any reasonable kind.
1 AnswerYahoo Answers7 years agoDoes Arden Hayes have hyperthymesia or eidetic memory?
The question says it all. He's able to recall vast amounts of technical information instantaneously, and he's only five years old!
I think he must have hyperthymesia or some milder version of it.
1 AnswerMental Health8 years agoIf you drink pure H20, will you age slower, and have increased cellular mitosis?
I've learned that Deuterium bonds are stronger than Hydrogen bonds, and that Deuterium will replace Hydrogen in the body, and that too much Deuterium will slow down certain processes.
What are these processes, and if you remove all Deuterium atoms from water, will you speed up said processes?

- I'm not asking how to disable the orange glow when a new event occurs within a program--I need that--I'm asking how to stop the task-bar from revealing itself when that happens.

1 AnswerSoftware8 years agoHow to find all usages of a song?
Lets say, I'm trying to remember a certain song from a movie, but I only have the SONG name. How would I go about finding the movie, or other media (game/event), using the song?
I can't exactly do a google 'song' search, like I can do a google 'image' search.
1 AnswerOther - Music8 years agoDimensional Perception?
If you pulled a 2 dimensional creature any distance in the 3rd dimension, would the creature be able to see 3 dimensional space, or would it only see 2 dimensional cross sections of 3 dimensional space in the 2 dimensional plane it's currently occupying?
I predict the latter is true; as, if it is not, a 2D creature would be able to look up and down, and we would be able to look past and future.
Correct me if I'm wrong, or clarify please.
Thanks
4 AnswersPhysics8 years agoPolynomial Function x-intercept?
Lets say I have a function:
f(x) = (x^4) - (2x^3) - (x^2) + 2x - 4
How would I find the X-intercepts without graphing or simply guessing?
I already know how to find max/min btw.
3 AnswersMathematics8 years agoCause of lightheadedness and shortness of breath?
My own opinion (which I believe to be fact) is that lightheadedness is caused by gravity. The speed of your pumping heart is not yet adjusted to a rapid increase in downward acceleration to the blood that is trying to reach your brain, and a head rush ensues until the heart adjusts to the lack of blood.
Now I know that shortness of breath is caused by a lack of oxygen in the lungs, but what causes the feeling of 'shortness of breath'? The actual similar-to-lactic-acid sensation in your lungs is what I'm talking about.

5 AnswersYouTube8 years agoDifference between move off hard drive and delete?
Ok. Now I know when you shift+del a file, the system simply adds a character to the beginning of the file. But, if you move a file off the hard drive to another place (USB, etc), is the file permanently deleted from the original location?
I know it's not copied and the original file deleted because copying takes longer.
1 AnswerSoftware8 years agoHow did someone hack my Facebook account?
Someone posted a status from a Blackberry and changed my middle name. I changed my password with haste, and enabled cell phone confirmation for any login from unauthorized devices.
I never log in to any computer other than my own.
I use secure browsing (HTTPS).
I have WPA2 WiFi encryption, plus I live far away from most people I know.
I have obviously never told anyone any of my passwords for anything.
I never bring my laptop out of my house.
Someone please tell me how this is possible. Is there some kind of new password cracking software? I will only accept 'Someone got lucky' as the LAST possibility, so please list all other possibilities.
Thanks.

I don't even know if that's what you call it, but I'm asking for example if you type facebook.com it will return facebook.com/something and facebook.com/name and any possible sites within that site.
2 AnswersOther - Internet9 years agoIs it possible to not have a subconscious mind that influences the conscious?
Is it possible? I believe my mind is uninfluenced by any kind of psychological persuasion or "mind control" techniques.
Do I just have a naturally high resistance via critical thinking, or do I have no subconscious mind?
6 AnswersPsychology9 years agoCooler Master X6 Elite or V8?
Hey people I just want to know which heatsink is better and quieter for cooling an Intel 3570k. They cost about the same so I don't care about the bang for your buck obviously, I just want anyone's experience or knowledge of physics to influence my decision.
The case I'm going to use is a Cooler Master HAF XM w/ front 20cm fan, side 20cm fan, 2x top 20cm fans, and rear 14cm fan.
Thanks
1 AnswerDesktops9 years agoRAM - Low Latency Dual Channel or Mid Latency Quad Channel?
Hey guys! I'm theorizing my computer build and wondering what your opinions are on what memory I should get for a high-end gaming system.
The considerations are as follows:
1.) Dual Channel, CL6
2.) Triple Channel CL7
3.) Quad Channel, CL8
Which kit would perform the best for a gaming system w/ Intel i7 3930K and Gigabyte G1-Assassin2?
Thanks
