Should I really hate the term "freethinker" like I do?
I don't get how this means anything in the grand scheme of things for deciding what you believe in or choose not to. It sounds far more like an egotistical term rather than one with any meaning.
It implies anyone who believe in a religion or any form of spirituality doesn't free think and I find that to be rather moronic to insinuate such.
It implies if you believe in any form of that you don't free think.
Am I wrong here?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoIf eternal oblivion is true? Why it one way though you came from it?
I ask this question on the account of why it is a one way trip when we came from it in the first place?
We can from it before.
Off, on, off.
Why can't it switch back on from whatever you came from. Whatever spark started you to exist and live, why couldn't it be true whatever started that again couldn't come about again, aka reincarnation.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoI ponder to what lengths science can go in my life time. What might be possible?
I wonder what Science could achieve and prove over the course of the next 60+ years I have left on this earth. Could it lead into more space travel? Could we find new cures for previous diseases? How far could we explore what Consciousness and Sentience is? Where will computers and technology lead?
Do we have an idea on any of this?
4 AnswersPhilosophy6 years agoIs it possible a form of your consciousness can be remade over time?
I'm not arguing or asking the existence of god or anything, I'm asking, if we die and are unconscious, it is possible that we can be remade at some point like reincarnation? Is it possible what made my mind work at some point be a thing again though remade from scratch? If this is all there is to existence, it is possible your existence can reoccur again>
7 AnswersPhilosophy7 years agoAm I wrong to think being homosexual or not believing in god is a one way ticket to hell?
I can't say I can totally agree with the notion of either of these things. I can't see either of them being truly morally wrong.
I can't fault someone being an atheist because for many I think they are making a logical conclusion that they need some proof first. Which I can't fault them on, it's natural and is how science works for theories.
Being homosexual might not really help in reproduction. But who are they really harming? Who is really being hurt or mistreated if they do this? Killing or stealing from someone else? That hurts someone. Having a relationship with someone of the same gender? What's the issue?
I can't fully accept what the bible says as 100% truth since it's a book by man written by 56 different authors and translated multiple times over. It is a book of guidance to help people be good people
And that ultimately is what I think. Being a good or bad person is always what should come first to judging another person. Not who they choose to believe, not because they felt an attraction to someone of the same gender. But if they were truly a wicked person at heart.
Am I wrong for thinking this?
2 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender7 years agoI wonder, if we do die forever like an atheist more commonly says, is it possible that we might just "wake up" one day?
Like one day thousands of years later, somehow our brain comes back together or whatever made us, us just reforms with no memory. Maybe that would be real reincarnation.

17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoCan Eternal Oblivion be true, if nothing lasts forever?
A though a had, if Eternal Oblivion is true or rather the consciousnesses is true. Is it also true that that same consciousness could in wake up without memory if everything fell right into place?
But would that be you? Or would that be a copy? Is it you in some form?
