Can someone please help me on Pythagorean Theorem?
Two vertical poles of 6ft. and 8ft. stand 10ft. apart. A cable reaches from the top of one pole to some point on the ground between the two poles and then to the top of the other pole. Where should this point be located to use 18ft. of cable.
my teacher gave me a hint and told me to square this:
[x2=36] + [(10x)2 + 64] =18
the bracets are the problem sqaured.
