I was thinking about majoring in music therapy and was wondering if someone who is educated in that area could answer a few questions. Like, how musical do you have to be? Is it rewarding and challenging at the same time?

Well, yesterday I was playing pep band at a basketball game and my high school's dance team comes out. I expected rap because that's all they use. But, instead they used about 45 seconds of Immigrant Song and then the Stairway to Heaven guitar solo. Stunned, I asked some of the dance team about Led Zep, and they just stared and laughed. Gotta love high school.

This stems from my fathomless hatred of corporate America and how awesome it would be to live on a campsite. THEN, I one upped the campsite with a Hippie commune, and thought,hm, I could do that.

So, it wouldn't be hard for me.

And to add some, they most likely have no understanding of hippies or what they stood for. And have no clue what the origin of the peace sign is. And can't tell you where Woodstock was and can't name an act from Woodstock, let alone a couple bands from that era.

This question comes to me because on Friday a girl decked out in peace paraphernalia asked me why I was wearing a shirt with an airline company on it. Yeah, it said Jefferson Airplane, sure I know not everyone knows who Jefferson Airplane is. But, I was also wearing a vest and she called me a wannabe hippie and said and I quote, " You're not even wearing a single peace sign you are so not hippie." My mouth just hung open and when I realized what she said, I looked at her and simply said, "Never said I was."

I was leaving a store today and in front of me the back of this guys car says, JimMorrisonOmaha.com, and his license plate read, OPENDRZ, turns out he's a CBS Home Realtor. Yeah, he looks nothing like the original.

My friend turns 16 tomorrow and she loves the Grateful Dead, Aerosmith, The Doors, Jim Croce and many other bands. I was going to put pictures on it but what else could I put/write on it? Any suggestion would be great!

A mix CD you listen to on the way to school has Dan Fogelberg and Iron Maiden on back to back tracks.

It's an awesome CD by the way, I love it.

IMO, it's Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler is a phenomenal guitar player, and doesn't get recognized enough.
