R&P: What would it take for you to live on a Hippie Commune?

This stems from my fathomless hatred of corporate America and how awesome it would be to live on a campsite. THEN, I one upped the campsite with a Hippie commune, and thought,hm, I could do that.

So, it wouldn't be hard for me.

MQ: Who is your favorite act that played at Woodstock?

Update:

Hell yeah man. I'll move into your neighborhood. You seem like to be like the people I'm looking for.

Update 2:

sos_brigadeer

I am a teenage girl and I hate buying those Made in China or Sri Lanka or Vietnam peace sign shirts. A peace sign shirt made in Vietnam? What the ****? I agree with you about the peace whores, and how they get their different eco-friendly, go green act and change it every week. So I guess I'm agreeing with you about most teen girls being peace whores, but, I'm also proving that there are some teens out there who know what they're talking about. Myself being an example.

    "Peace Whores" ...................I love it.

I'm not a peace whore, I know girls at my toilet dump of a high school who wear peace signs and call their moms and dads to pick them up in their Hummer because they don't want to waste 5 minutes of their life to take a simple walk home. *facepalm*

If only the hippie-era was still around. And by this, I mean the whole sha-bang from the 60s to the 70s. Don't you ever feel as if you were born in the wrong decade?

MQ: From the '69 Line Up:

Ravi Shankar, CCR, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, and Hendrix. Woodstock is nothing now that Hendrix is gone.

hmmm.... i don't know. i like the idea of it, but it is a little bit unrealistic. i don't know if i would like it. i don't know what it would take. i think most communes fail in the end, anyway.

yeah, i agree w/ you about the peace whores. i know a few myself. they're just a bunch of posers. and one of the most annoying peace whore-ish things i hate is when they hold up backwards peace signs (victory sign) and pose for pictures and call it a peace sign. yeah, buying peace shirts made in Vietnam is a lot more peace-whoreish, but the peace signs in pictures are just my pet-peeve.

yeah, i think i'm an example of one of the "teens out there who know what they're talking about", too.

A real site that could deal with my diabetes.

I think that Richie Havens was awesome at Woodstock, but Creedence Clearwater Revival would be my favorite act that played there.

where the hell is it ?

    if there's music I'm there

and i would have to say :

    The Grateful Dead

    Creedence Clearwater Revival

    The Who

    Jimi Hendrix

    Jefferson Airplane

so all of it pretty much

I'm not one but i know tons of peace whores go to my crap school all those snotty little rich brats who shop at abercrombie and American eagle and who complain that they don't have the latest generation Ipod and walk around with there little Chinese made bags with "peace signs"

    dumb bitches

That lifestyle has never much appealed to me... so I don't know.. maybe if I went through such a traumatic experience that I needed a COMPLETE change / didn't care anything about "the world" any longer / something like that.

I lived on a isolated reserve for 8 years, we had no running water, and to burn wood to keep warm and to eat, winter time temps. -40C to -51C

and only way to get to the reserve was by float plane. And it only came once a week if the weather was good. It was the best time of my life. And very little english spoken. So could I live on a hippie commune? Yes!

    take care

Because even they got tired of living in filth, and sharing their wives. Communism doesn't even support this way of life. Massive drug use does though.

Dude, i'd be there for a quarter. i've got the hair for it, the spacey-ness, the love of talking like, "Heeeey maaaannn" and some of my friends do too. HOLY CRAP! I GUESS I"M ALREADY ON ONE!!! Hey, if i give you a quarter, will u move into my neighborhood?

That would be so cool! I would live there.

Hendrix or Jefferson Airplane were my favorite (from what I've seen in videos) I wasn't able to attend, I wasn't born.

Not that hard, as long as the people are decent, I would be pretty cool. Then again, their would have to be the ability to shower, as opposed to authentic hippies.
