  • my dog wont stop scratching where she has been shaved?

My female dog was spayed and has had her stitches out. Her cut has healed completely but where her hair is growing back, she scratches? Is it normal for it to be itchy while the fur grows back, its about 1 cm now, so its still got a little more to grow. She is a short haired dog.

  • has anyone had a dog with a chicken allergy?

Is it true that they itch ears, rears and paws ? She also scratches almost everywhere else, her skin is turning black. She has a allergy test in 3 days, its a skin test so its not for food. Im not sure if its chicken too. She seems to scratch always no matter what i feed her but i heard chicken and beef can be a problem.

  • question about re homing a pup?

I have a pup who is 14 weeks old. He is a staff/border collie. He is really energetic and at the same time the sweetest dog. A lady on a farm has offered to give a forever home. He would have all the space in the world and be loved. He seems bored in my home as i have to look after a two year old and my older dog has got bad allergies so im always wiping her down and trying to keep her comfy. What would you do, would you keep him or let him live on a farm. Ps : my back yard is not huge and i take him for a 20 min walk each day.

  • has anyone ever had their dog allergy tested.?

My vet suggested a hypoallergenic diet for 6 weeks which would be about $100 a week, but a allergy test is $200 and they test for 60 allergens. Im thinking to do the test instead of going through 6 weeks of hypoallergenic dog food. (My vet doesn't offer the test so im taking her to a skin specialist). Has anyone ever done one and if so is it successful?
