  • Limiting specific laptop access to wireless network at home?

We have 4 laptops at home on an older wireless router (Netgear), all on PSK2 security (ie I need to grant users access, as well as give them the password to the network). I want to limit the kids' laptops to a couple of hours each per night only. I cannot seem to do it through the netgear router software (aside from me physically taking them off and putting them back in again to the access list), any suggestions for other solutions?

  • What are the risks of having hamachi on our PC so my kids can play minecraft?

Son wants to load hamachi to play minecraft with friends. I'm concerned of the risks involved with being on a VPN with his friends' machines - this PC is the hub of our home network, and my own work is on it ... thanks for any info!

  • Wireless Networking my home?

I'd like to set up a wireless network at home. I have an ADSL modem and two older PCs. I figure I need a wireless router, but then what else will I need in order to allow the second PC to link to the network? I'd be grateful if anyone could point me to guides that are for the more technically illiterate, like me!

  • Teaching typing to kids?

I am in Perth, WA and would like to hold touch-typing classes for kids on weekends. What would I need to do in order to do this? Can I teach them in my own home? Would I need to be a registered teacher (I don't have a teaching degree)? It would be for about 3 hours a day.

  • Ripstik / Waveboard / Vigorboard?

I'm looking for a Ripstik/equivalent for my son's birthday (all very expensive). I have been looking at wave skateboards, and have now found a "Vigorboard" which is less expensive - is the quality any good?? I know he will use it nonstop.

  • Australian Emigration to New Zealand?

I understand that a New Zealand citizen can have permanent resident rights in Australia - does it work the other way around? I.e. as an Aussie citizen can I move to NZ tomorrow and begin looking for work, renting accommodation etc?

  • Buses and scooters in Mauritius?

We'll be in Mauritius in December. I have an idea to take a bus from Mahebourg (where we are staying) to Curepipe, and from there to visit the Pamplemousses gardens by scooter. Can I bus from Mahebourg to Mauritius (which bus number leaving from where?) and can I hire scooters in Curepipe - from where and how much will it cost to hire them for the day?

  • Transport airport to Mahebourg?

Our hostel has offered transport from the airport to the hostel (25, Rue Mariannes Street) for 10 euro (we are a family of four) - in Dec & Jan so it's a busy time I guess. Is this too much? Is there a better form of transport to take when we land?
