  • Years late filing taxes with S-corp involved!?

About 5 years ago I started a business- a small s corp with myself as the only employee. I also have a rental property with a depreciation schedule for about 10 years. The business went belly up and I couldn't afford to do my tax return in '12 and '13. Now that I'm back on my feet, I have to do tax returns '12-15. The s corp basically ended in '13 and I never took any formal steps to disolve it. So should I ignore it, do this year's and last years returns and let them request more info? (And estimate certain things like rental property depreciation) or should I pay a CPA big bucks to go back and do it perfectly? I have the money to pay for it but would rather not. I probably get some refund- nothing owed besides potential fines. Thanks!

  • Math odds winning question?

I need some brushing up on my math skills! Last night I participated in a score pool for the Steelers-Ravens game. Each person puts a dollar in for each scoring block. Down the left side it is listed 0-9, across the top is listed 0-9. This makes a total of 100 blocks representing the second digit in the score. So if the score is 20-13 at the half, the person in the 0,3 block wins.

Not sure if that matters or makes sense but here's my question. I put in 3 dollars and bought 3 blocks (coincidentally the least at the party). So it seems to me that i had a 3 out of 100 shot to win each quarter. I won 3 times out of the 4 available quarters! Only 70 bucks but I ll take it. I'm sure that some numbers are more likely to occur in a football game but using that info would make it nearly impossible to figure this out so leave that out of the equation. So what were the odds that I would win this 3 times on only 3 bucks?

    Thanks!

  • What does a lot of "best friends" mean?

I've heard a person that I know claim that at least 6 different people are her "best friend". Sounds common for a 12 year old to say that but what does it mean when a 30 something says it? I think she means well but I would only ever say that I have one. Just curious what this could mean about her...in your opinion.

  • I'm 8 months into a relationship and I'm still unsure about her?

I'm 32 years old, dating a super nice beauitful girl and I'm still unsure whether or not I want a future with her. She hits all of my major requirements but a couple of little things bother me...things sort of annoy me or whatever...she is an elementary school teacher and sometimes I feel like she talking to her students when she's talking to me. She's a great chick, if you met her you would love her! I think it's starting to show that I'm not sure with her and she may be getting tired of it...she tells me that she's never had anything as good as us...I tend to think that she's said those sorts of things to other guys so I guess I'm suspicious or something. So tell me, am I crazy or just indecisive about this girl or maybe deep down I don't think this is going to work? For a guy that's usually pretty decisive, I seriously don't know this time...

  • 8 months into a relationship and I don't know what to do...?

I'm a 32 year old guy and I spent my late 20's and early 30's being single for the most part in hopes of meeting the right one. So about 8 months ago I was introduced a really nice, knockout of a girl. As we talked, I took note that she hit pretty much all of my big picture requirements that I need. I also noticed that she was a little bit of a stereotypical blonde if you know what I mean. As time went on, I noticed that these blonde moments were getting worse and worse...particularly when hanging out in a crowd providing some embarrasing moments for yours truely. I've expressed frustration over these things to her before, without specifically mentioning that I think it's part of her overall nature. So last night, a bunch of us were celebrating labor day, and she walks up to one of my friends (the one with the biggest mouth) and tells him that I've expressed frustration towards her, and asks her if it's just her or was I like that before. So when I found this out, I was super upset with her for essentially confiding in one of my friends and airing our dirty laundry in front of so many people (after he tells eveyone)...which is something that you NEVER do (there was more to their conversation, I'm summerizing for the sake of trying to keep this short). She didn't understand why at first but then was super apologetic. I care about her a lot but these blonde moments or whatever you call them keep coming up. I feel like she doesn't understand situational type things that I think aree common sense. For the record, I spoke to my friend that she talked to and he said there's no way she should've said the things that she said to him...not throwing me underr the bus, just airing dirty laundry so to speak. I don't think that she would ever do THAT particular thing again but I'm in fear for what might come out next. I know I've said some things that make her look bad but overall she is the perfect woman except for these things- I would marry her in a heartbeat except...you know the story. I'm also inclined to think that these types of things have happened with her in past relationships...or maybe I just have a hard time tolerating certain things...I don't know. Sometimes an outsiders perspective is best so I'm looking forward to your answers

  • Do you believe in the saying, "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country?

JFK, a democrat, said that a long time ago.

I feel that we as a nation are now choosing to vote for the candidate that promises to give us the most stuff...do you agree?

  • Did McCain really just crush Obama the other night or am I the only one thinking that?

McCain is more experienced and I thought that he crushed O. O looked like an 8th grader trying out for the Yankees compared to McCain (I'm referring to the Saddleback forum). WHat is your opinion?
