  • How to cite an excerpt from a book within a book?

For my ethics class we are reading Anthony Weston's "A 21st Century Ethical Toolbox" and within it in a certain chapter there is an excerpt from an article by Roger Rosenblatt. Our teacher wants us to cite the source of the article but still within the book and not the original source. I'm not sure how to do that without just using the original magazine the article came from. If anyone has any idea it would be much appreciated!

  • What is this new song!?

This is a recent song and I thought it was by Kanye West but I can't find it anywhere.

It begins with an older song (record sounding) then someone begins rapping to it and there is a "nuh nuh nuh" in the background.

That's all I know about it.

    Thank you so much!

  • Hiking gear regulated by government?

I was wondering if any of the gear for hiking was regulated by the government? This may seem like an odd question, but when you think about it, I know there are certain products the government has to regulate in like baby toys, etc. so I wanted to know more about gear and equipment that hikers buy. It doesn't have to solely be for hikers either since mountaineers, rock climbers, etc. all fall into the same category. So if anyone can find a website or knows anything about this that would be really helpful thank you!

  • How is hiking related to the government?

My government project this trimester is to pick something of interest to you and somehow relate it to the government.Well ironically my interest, hiking, has everything to do with government. What I am having a hard time with is trying to narrow it down to laws that have been put into place that have affected hiking and past and present comparisons of restrictions from then to now. If anyone can help me find a good site as a source or plainly just has any information that would be awesome. Thank you so much!

  • Help me burn an IDVD movie to a disc (Mac Users) Please Help!?

I have spent days working on a video on iMovie and now I am ready to burn it onto a disc. For some reason it isn't letting me share it to anything. It won't let me export it into my files, Itunes, using Quicktime player, or anything else and says "The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (-50)". So then I tried making it into a movie on iDVD and it worked but it still won't let me burn it onto a disc. When I try and burn it from the iDVD application it starts to process the DVD and shows it will take 40 minutes to do so but after about 5 minutes it says it can't process it.

I guess I have no idea what i am doing but I really really really need this movie burnt onto a disc to send off to a college for an application. Nothing is working so if anyone can help me diagnose this problem it would be much appreciated. Thank you!!!!

  • Keeping the Environment Clean!?

To make things better in society today I think that by keeping our environment clean and protected we would be able to reach that goal.

What are some of the ways we can do that and what specific laws can we vote for in 2012 to help make this happen?

Any ideas, laws, would be awesome!! Thank you!!!

  • Help me determine these Chemistry Laws! Please!?

I can't figure out what these laws may be:

The law illustrated by the fact that ice, liquid water, and steam consist of 88.8% oxygen and 11.2% hydrogen by mass.

The law that explains why the water molecules in a raindrop falling on Phoenix, Arizona, and the water flowing through the Nile Delta in Egypt both contain two hydrogen atoms for every oxygen

    atom.

  • Chemistry Laws Question! Help?

So I am having a hard time grasping the meaning of these three laws:

    Law of definite proportions

    Law of multiple proportions

and Law of conservation of mass

I have read over and over again the dictionary definition of these terms but can't come to my own terms with them. Especially the law of multiple proportions and definite proportions and how they relate to one another.

If you could just give me a short answer in non complicated terms that will help me memorize them better than their dictionary definitions that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

  • Cheating, different types?

So when we all think of cheating it is usually for a "test, board game, poker, or sport" but what are some further ways of cheating in the world that doesn't come to our mind as easy as those do.

Any examples will help. Thank you :)

  • Help me understand a quote?

This is from the book "Grendel"

Stood wriggling my face, letting tears down my nose, grinding my fists into my streaming eyes, even though to do it I had to squeeze with my elbow the corpse of the proof that both of us were cursed, or neither, that the brothers had never lived, nor the god who judged them.

If anyone can help me analyze this, that would be soo helpful!

This isn't homework or anything so you aren't helping me "cheat".

    Thank you!

  • How to keep my hair healthy?

So for the past month or so whenever I take a shower strands of my hair start to fall out. My hair is naturally thin and straight. It is long, but I never straighten or curl it so I would think it is pretty healthy. Is this a sign that my hair isn't as healthy as I thought? The thing I am freaking out about is what if strands keep falling out and in a year my hair is even thinner than it already is! Help!! :) thanks.
