I derived a formula that essentially states that the acceleration of a system is the ratio of the Force parallel to motion to the systems resistance to motion.

A= F(net)/I(net)

This is useful in pulley problems and such. If you have a block of mass m attached to a pulley and a spool shaft, the acceleration of the system is equal to mg/[m+I(pulley)+I(cylindrical spool).

Am I wrong on this?

I understand there is no tangent slope for f(x) at x=0. This leads me to believe that f'(0) simply does not exist. However, this answer was marked as incorrect on an exam. What am I missing?

A woman in my class has shown quite a bit of interest in me, constant compliments and kino. A couple weeks after this begins I ask her if she wants to get some coffee on the weekend. Her reply was that her church discourages their members from solo dating. I've never heard of this kind of malarkey. I was raised Southern Baptist and am now atheist. I thought I had run the spectrum but I guess not.

During this past month, every time I go to a place like Jamba Juice or Starbucks the women behind the counter have asked me what my plans are. This has happened in two cities and around six times. What is going on here? I'm not narcissistic enough to believe that every single one of these women was interested enough in me to actually be interested in me. Are cashiers encouraged to engage in small talk?

Hypothetical example: If 67 percent want to deprive 1 percent of something with 33 percent opposing who should win?

I was struck by the contradictory nature of this statement and wasn't sure if the person who said it was just an idiot or if there can be a valid meaning behind it.
