  • Are these kittens just content?

My cat had kittens on the 1st of August. I have heard them make noise one time since they arrived and it was only one and she stopped mewing after a few seconds. They dont even fuss if i pick them up. Are they just content or should they be making more noise?

Also I plan to have mom and all 3 babies fixed before they go to new homes. What is the earliest they can be fixed?

  • Help me give this cat a name?

A large grey cat has started hanging out around my house. We haven't been able to find his owners and have started feeding him since he was losing a lot of weight. I figured we should give him a name if he was going to be hanging out with us and eating my cats food, but I am lost on what to name him. I don't want some overused name like smoky.

He is very large and all dark dark gray.

    He is skittish around us.

He has a piece of his ear missing. Not sure what from.

He let me pet him for food. His fur is very course, not silky.

    He looks like a panther.

Any ideas would be appreciated :)

  • Period help? Tmi warning?

Okay so I got my first postpartum period on the 6th of January, about 2 months after having my daughter. It has come like clockwork in both February and March. I was on the nuvaring.

    Here's the weird stuff:

On March 6th I got light pink spotting like I was about to start my period. That would have been 28 days, but I'd been having 31 day cycles. The next day on the 7th the spotting stopped. On the 9th, I got my period as scheduled. It was very very painful especially in the evening. I bled heavily for me for 9 days. On the 18th it turned to dark brown spotting that was heavy for spotting but way lighter than a period. That lasted until the 27th when I started bleeding again like another period.

So I've been on my second period for almost 2 days, and my nuvaring doesn't come out for my period til tomorrow.

Weirdest part: I just went to wipe and had clear mucus in my divacup and when I wiped along with blood. Am I ovulating while on my period AND on the nuvaring? Or is my body just now starting to adjust to the nuvaring after 3 cycles and doing some weird ****? I'm really confused.

  • What is going on with my period?

Two things first: I am 4 1/2 months pp, and am on the nuvaring.

I have a 31 day cycle, and my period started on time this month. However it's been very different from my other periods. They are usually average. This one has been insane. They usually last about 5 days. I am on day 9 and still going. Cramps are bad all day, but get to be unbearable in the evenings. They feel like labor pains. I can't move and have to apply heat and pressure to my back to stop from going crazy with pain. Applying heat or anything to the front does nothing. No medicine helps. There's a ton of blood too, much more than usual. I fill regular tampons in about 3 hours. Normally they aren't full when I change them.

Is this normal pp changes? I'm beginning to think this period will never end :/

  • Postpartum bowel problems? TMI warning?

So ever since having my daughter three months ago, my BMs are much more regular. I usually have to go 2-3 hours after eating. That's great and all, but the problem is that I can't hold it at all. It's like as soon as I get the 'feeling' I HAVE to go. I have had to leave my baby screaming on her changing table to avoid accidents. I had to have my mom pull over on the highway the other night and go in the bushes like an animal. It's really bad.

Is there a reason why I can't hold it for a short time? It's really hard to either plan my whole day around when I can eat to avoid an accident, or just not eat when I'm going anywhere.

  • Collar and harness irritate dog's neck, what to do?

I have tried several different harnesses and collars on my chihuahua, but every one of them has caused red, irritated skin on the front of her neck. She is microchipped, but I want people to be able to SEE that she has an owner as well. What can I do?

Note: Not a tattoo, I'm afraid that will irritate her as well

  • Is trouble swallowing ever normal?

I'm 20 years old, and I have been having trouble with swallowing on occasion. It is not an every ime thing, but it does happen more often as time goes by I've noticed. It happens on a daily basis, though. Basically sometimes I go to swallow and I can not, it feels like my throat has tightened up and won't let anything pass, so then I almost have a choking reaction, have to consciously loosen my throat and try again.

Just wondering if this is normal if it's only on occasion?

  • Low temperature and nausea?

I generally have a higher than average temperature at around 99 degrees on a regular basis, but today it has dropped to 97 exactly. I know 97 is in the normal range but since it is much lower than my average temp I am wondering if this could be a sign of something? I also have been feeling very nauseous and lethargic and have a sore throat.

I'm not too worried just curious. Thanks!

I am wanting to know what your experience with mirena was like ONLY if you had a child beforehand? I am reading all the back answers about it but can't tell who had a child and who didn't. I don't know if it matters but I'd like to know :)

I'm getting mine placed Dec 9th and want to see what to possibly expect.

  • Baby developmental delays from arm injury?

Long story short, my daughter has a very bad shoulder injury from her birth and can not use her left arm yet, and we are still uncertain as to when she will be able to. She can use her left hand so we think it will eventually heal, but in the meantime I am worried this will cause significant delays in things like rolling over, crawling and walking.

I'm wondering to what extent the inability to use her arm would affect her ability to roll over?

And if she is unable to crawl, will she still be able to walk in the average time frame or does she need to be able to crawl to build her leg muscles up enough?

Any insight is appreciated. I have an appt with a therapist in two weeks but I'd like to know what other people think.

  • After birth experience?

I have a few questions about what is normal after giving birth. I had a very difficult delivery and don't know what is expected and what is caused by the trauma if anything.

First, is it normal for the bleeding to be sporadic? My bleeding was very heavy, then I passed a large clot and it became very light, but now it is heavy again.

Also, is it normal for your vagina to constantly feel like it is on fire where the stitches are? I had two second degree tears and the spots where I am stitched up burn all the time even after using the tucks pads and dermoplast.

Also I know pelvic pain is normal but if you had really bad pelvic pain how long did it last?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • Due today, pain in pelvic area when pooping and nausea?

I'm due today and every time I poo it hurts in my lower abdomen and pelvis. Now I'm having contractions and when they started I got very nauseous. I've never felt like this during contractions. Could this be a sign of impending labor or is it just normal pregnancy?

  • Boosting wireless signal in basement computer?

I just moved into the bottom floor(like a basement) of my grandpa's house, and the wireless signal from his router to my computer is very limited connectivity most times. My iPod connects perfectly but my computer is much slower.

I know there are wireless repeaters but do they work to improve signal when in the same room as the router or do you have to have them in a different area to see a difference? I can't find anything about how they work!

  • Moving while 35 weeks pregnant?

Tomorrow I will be starting the process of moving. I am 35 weeks pregnant. Is there anything I should avoid doing during the process? We won't be fully moved for a month but I have to start going through all the things in my house and shed that I do not need, cleaning, packing stuff, etc. I plan to ask my doctor at my next appointment but it isn't til next week and I need to know what is definitely unsafe and should be avoided THIS week. I won't be lifting heavy boxes obviously.

  • Closed Wachovia account, need number to determine what I owe?

I called their main number(800-Wachovia) and got the recovery department but then it went to an automated service that said I had to call back during business hours.

I had a checking and savings account closed about a year ago due to overdrafts from paypal issues, and since I didn't have a job at the time I couldn't pay it off. I want to know how much it would be to pay them off in full, and reopen my checking account.

Does anyone know if I got in touch with the right department or if I need to call a different number?

  • Can you marry an illegal immigrant in the US?

My boyfriend and baby's father is an illegal immigrant to the US. I want to marry him, and have since before I got pregnant by him, but I am not sure if it is legal to marry him in the US or if I would have to move to Mexico. Obviously there would be no benefits involved in getting married as he isn't allowed here, but I would still like to know if it is legal to actually have a marriage.

  • Somewhat unique spanish boy names?

My baby's father is Mexican. I discovered recently that the name I chose for a boy(Carter) is actually difficult for his friends to pronounce.

I want to know if there are any somewhat unique Spanish names that are easily pronounced in both English and Spanish. Not like Carlos or Jose, but a name like Jacian(hah see ahn) which could be pronounced in the English form, Jason, if someone had a problem saying it.
