Why is Chipotle going to open up a location in Frankfurt, Germany?
Doing a report on Chipotle. I saw that they plan on opening a location in Frankfurt, Germany. Why Germany? Why Frankfurt? What is Chipotle's reasoning in choosing this location?
1 AnswerCorporations8 years agoProve that the absolute maximum and minimum values for f(x,y) = 2x^3 + y^4 on the closed disk x^2 + y^2 = r^2?
Prove that the absolute maximum and minimum values, for f(x,y) = 2x^3 + y^4 on the closed disk x^2 + y^2 = r^2, must be at x = r and x = -r, when r is less than or equal to 1. What I have thought up is that since r is less than 1, than absvalue(x^3) would yield a greater number than absvalue(y^4) when plugging r into each equation, or something like that. However, my reasoning isn't exactly a mathematical proof so please help me rephrase my reasoning or use equations to prove the absolute maximum and minimum.
2 AnswersMathematics10 years agohelp me remember this math theorem?
There is a math theorem used to calculate the volume between an n-gon and a surface above it. I think it is the average of the heights multiplied by the area of the n-gon. Is this correct? If not, could you tell me what theorem i might be thinking of?
1 AnswerMathematics10 years agohelp me visualize Clairaut's theorem of d/dx(df/dy) = d/dy(df/dx)?
In my calc 3 class, I am learning partial derivatives. I am able to understand the material much better if I can visualize the graph of what I am learning. I am having trouble fully understanding the geometric interpretation and significance of Clairaut's theorem of d/dx(df/dy) = d/dy(df/dx) or in other words, deriving with respect to x and then y will produce the same graph as deriving with respect to y and then x.
1 AnswerMathematics10 years agoProof for the "right hand rule" in calculus?
Using the theorem "the vector A x B is orthogonal to A and B" we know that the resulting vector only has 2 possible directions, lets call them up and down. However, the right hand rule allows us to determine which direction it is. Ex. i x j = k or up in the z direction. Show a proof for the right hand rule that expands upon the theorem above and lets us choose the direction.

1 AnswerMathematics10 years agoIs there a rule to how much data you must have per dummy variable?
I am doing a multiple regression project. I had to split up one of my explanatory variables into 10 dummy variables; some of these dummy variables have as low as 3 observations under it. Will this be a problem and is there a rule regarding this. For example is there a rule that i need atleast 5 observations per dummy variable.
1 AnswerHomework Help1 decade agoFor a multiple regression project, do all the variable have to have a p value below .05?
I am doing a multiple regression project regarding tv shows. The response variable is the number of viewers of the tv show and the explanatory variables are channel its on, average score given by critics, and when the show is on. After entering all of this into EXCEL and running a regression, I found that some of the variables' p values were quite high, is that a problem?
