I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and want to get a new phone case. I have an Otterbox defender series but after working in construction for the last few months, the drops bumps and dust exposure have taken its toll on my phone case. My phone is completely intact shockingly but the case is cracked and the rubber is stretched out and barely fits on the original case.

I'm going to best buy this weekend to get a new phone case in addition to some other things. I looked at lifeproof's website and some YouTube videos saying how its shockproof, waterproof and dustproof. I want to know if this would be a good buy since obviously I need my phone for work and can't have it wear out or break on the jobsite.

So does lifeproof make a good phone case? Or is there another brand of phone cases I should look into to protect my phone from the hazards at construction sites?

So I just got a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer with the 5.0 Liter V8. You'd think it would have a lot of horsepower, but I looked online and Edmunds says it only has 215 horsepower. I think this is rather ridiculous since I would think such a big V8 would make at least 350 HP.

Is there anyway I can boost the power of my Mountaineer? Would I turbo or supercharge my engine? Modify the engine in any sort of way? If you have any suggestions please reply back

Ok I got a Border Collie/Black Lab mix puppy. He's currently one year old and he really pisses me off sometimes. First off, he eats poop. He not only eats his own, but also some stray cat has been pooping in my yard and he eats that. I tell him to stop but he continues to eat poop. Sometimes he even gets sick as a result. I heard it might be because of not enough potassium, but he won't eat bananas we put in his food bowl.

Next, despite the fact that border collies are supposed to be "smart" dogs, he is practically untrainable. I tried to teach him to fetch, which worked for three days. Then he does his usual thing of just getting the ball and trying to eat it. In addition, he never listens when I say sit or stay. He just runs off to spite me or because he's too stupid to understand.

Lastly, roughly half of the people he sees he is perfectly fine with. The other half... He goes nuts and barks at them or runs away from them. I want to stop flipping out on random strangers.

Maybe I'm expecting too much from him. I'm so used to my old dog (a yellow lab) that was extremely smart and well behaved. After she died Valentines Day 2012 I always expected dogs to behave how my old one did.

Can someone please help me?

OK so I'm a 17 year old guy and recently I've been thinking that I have problems socializing with other people. I find it very difficult to talk to people and to make friends. Trying to have simple conversations scare me. I only have a few friends I'm not even close with and probably don't really care about me.

My mom keeps asking " Why don't you invite your friends over the house?" but that's easy for her to say. She has hundreds of friends. We can't even go out to the store without bumping into 5 friends. I hate that making friends is difficult and talking to people is hard.

I don't know. Maybe it's that I was made fun of and bullied throughout childhood and that I've lost trust in people. I'm afraid of people honestly. I don't ever want to be treated the way I was when I was younger again. Maybe I was just born "broken" or "missing something"

I just want to be normal. I don't want to be lonely or alone. I want to be able to make friends like normal teenagers. I want to have someone to hang out with on Friday nights instead of being alone. Can someone please help me? I really need help.

Everyday our brains produces electricity in our heads. I don't know how much electricity is produced, but I have a curious question about it. If our brains produce electricity, why don't we ever get electrical burns in our brains, or self electrocute from all of the electricity produced over time?

I know it's kind of a stupid question, but I'm just curious as to why

As a 16 year old in high school, I've been feeling a little disillusioned about where I am in school. Even though I'm in honors classes & I also try my best in all of my classes, I just don't have the motivation I used to have when I was younger. I feel like nothing I'm doing now is practical, at all.

In English, all we do is read crappy books, old books(Great Gatsby, O' Pioneers, etc) that I get easily bored by. I try to read the first 2 chapters, then I just lose interest. I know I'm not really into fictional books and novels (I'd rather be reading something useful, like a book about outer space) I don't get where any of the books have any applicable use in the real world when I go to get a job

In my math class(Pre-calculus), none of the formulas, equations, or anything we are doing now makes sense, & I can't see myself using any of it in real life, practical situations. I haven't used the quadratic formula or anything that I've learned (or tried to learn anyway). The hardest thing outside the classroom I used was multiplication. Again, I don't know how it would be useful for when I get a job when I'm older.

I'm taking a physics class, & again, none of it is practical. Since when is learning the circular motion formula useful? Or the angled velocity formula? None of it has been useful in real life. The most I've gotten out of psychics was...nothing. I'm starting to hate that class, even though science used to be my favorite subject my entire life

Lastly, history has become a stupid subject. I used to enjoy this class to. But now instead of learning about practical history, we learn stupid stuff like the exact date we declared war on Germany in WWI. I just want to know why and the end result. I could have looked up the date on Wikipedia when I got home. Plus, all our teacher does is assign loads of projects. She gave us 2 projects within 3 days of each other, and they're due a week apart. Now history class is learning BS and doing lots of projects that even the smartest kids don't understand.

I just wish school was more practical. I wish I could actually learn useful stuff that me & the average person can understand, and not useless information. Now I feel like there's no use to going to school anymore, and most of the time I feel either bored, or really confused.

I had to do a take home test for my history class over Christmas break & I'm doing it last minute :P

I'm done answering the questions, but now for the last page I'm required to make a works cited, or bibliography page of any sources I used to answer the questions. I used my history textbook to answer some of the questions & now I need to make a bibliography, in MLA format. I don't know how I'd cite a textbook. I know how to do it with a regular book & websites, but how would I do it to textbooks?

BTW, the textbook I'm using is "The Americans" & the authors are Gerald Danzer, J. Jorge Klor de Alva, Louis Wilson, & Nancy Woloch. The publishing company I believe is McDougal Litell though I'm not sure if that's the publsigher or the manufacturer of the book

I have a 2010 Ford Fusion SE w/the SYNC entertainment option. I recently tried to plug my USB flash drive into the USB port in the car and I noticed that it skips over a lot of songs I put on. I have about 170 songs on it but it only manages to play about 50 of them. I'll admit, I did get some songs off one of those free YouTube to MP3 converter sites because I wanted to listen to live concert music of my favorite bands, but I'm not sure if that has any thing to do with it because it also skips over genuine iTunes bought songs.

Can anyone tell me how I can fix this or if I have to bring it in to my Ford dealer to get it fixed

I'm trying to do some homework using Microsoft Word 2007. Normally, the starting position of the text is about an inch or so down from the top of the paper and over to the right so there's a space on the left side of the paper. But I opened a new page of Word and the writing space starts all the way at the very top of the page. I want to know if there's a way to fix this because I don't know how or if it's possible.

Since I don't know any teens that are/were pregnant that I'm comfortable speaking with and neither does my mom, I wanted to see if there's an agency or hotline, etc that I can call or find people to ask questions to.

BTW, I live in southern Ocean County NJ. But if there's any other places anywhere else in the country, that can work to. If you have any information I can use, please respond as fast as you can. Thank you.

OK before I begin, I'll just quickly say it's not definitive or not but read ahead.

I'm a 16 year old guy & for the last several months he's been different.

1st, he used to be chill, but now at the littlest things, he overreacts. Once I was just messing around with my brother like teasing him and my dad hits me upside the head & says "Stop it with this crap" and then slams the door on me. Another time I was really tired one day & accidentally slept through karate lessons and when I woke up, he got really angry and yelled at me, saying how he pays so much for it and how I don't "want the black belt" and I "don't appreciate it." I rarely miss lessons, so I don't understand how missing one day will make me "bad."

Then he got really mad when I didn't get a job this summer. Apparently he expected me to get a job instead of going to Florida for vacation. He yelled at my mom then at me.

I'm in Boy Scouts & trying to work on my Eagle Project, but it's been pretty slow so far getting donations and signatures from people that are helping with my project. He told me I was wasting my time, that I "didn't want it" because I wasn't going as fast as he thinks it should be. He tells me I'm pathetic and it should be "easy" and done already even I started only 3-4 months ago.

Lastly, lately he's been making fun of my body. The other day he made fun of me because while I was trying on some new pants, he said I had "girl hips." He kept joking how about how I should be a "women that gives birth to lots of kids" & now every time I look in the mirror, I feel awkward. He also makes fun of how I'm not muscular or jacked & how I should be like that. I think he's really trying to call me a fag.

I don't know what to do. I'm afraid of talking to him. I'm afraid he'll get mad, or call me a fag for "talking about my feelings."

I need help please.

So I'm righting a research paper on copyright infringement. I tried looking it up and so far I'm not getting anywhere. I know what it is, but I can't find the consequences of getting caught, or if there's anything that's being used to stop it. If anyone has suggestions please reply back as soon as possible

So on netflix I got "Inception" & watched the DVD. I liked it so much that I'm trying to put it on my laptop so that if I ever want to watch it again it's there. I have the following programs from when my cousin reworked my laptop that he said might be useful

-DVD Decrypter

-Alcohol 120%

-Nero Burning ROM

-DVD Shrink 3.2

-Nero Startsmart

I used to know how theses programs worked but I haven't used them in forever & I forgot what they do, though I'm not sure if they're relevant to my problem. If you have any idea's or know how, please reply back as soon as possible

BTW, these movies are not being pirated. I don't want to put them on DVD's & sell them as that might be illegal

What are some physical & personality traits you like in a girl?

I'm a guy & I'm 15 & I want to ask a girl out, but I'm not sure how. I really don't know what Im supposed to say or do or anything. I've never had a girlfriend before so I'm not sure what to do. I don;t want to ask my friends because I'm afraid they'll laugh at me. I know this is a stupid question, but I just really wanna know how

Personally, I wish they still made Lincoln Town Cars, particularly 2003-2010. I know they still make them as of right now, but they're going to stop making them Sept. 2011 & the factory that makes them will close.

For example, one thing I'd fix back seat comfort in most sedans. I'd make the car wider so 3 regular sized adults can sit comfortably without rubbing up against each other. I'd put so much legroom that you don't have to be cramped & totally stretch out as long as you can. Also, I'd make the seat height higher & the seat cushion thicker, optimizing comfort & at the same time, improves the legroom problem

Recently I got a chance to watch Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" & I started to think about about global warming. The more I thought of it, the more I debated in my head if it was real or not.

Part of me says that it's real. That our environment is in trouble, the ice caps are really melting, & our planet is real bad shape. I read that we always have record heat of the year or that the ice caps are now smaller than last year.

But then I look at the other side. Sometimes I think it's just a big scam. I noticed a lot that ever since global warming scare came along, more "green" products are being sold. But often they're more expensive than their conventional counterparts. For example, we bought a 2010 Ford Fusion for 18K last year. They have a hybrid version, but it's MSRP is 29K & I know many people can't really afford that now.

I'm not sure who to believe. Al Gore that says global warming is real, but lives in a mansion much bigger than any other house we've ever lived in. Or the people that say it's not real, but have it turn out we really are in trouble & 50 years from now we should of done something.
