Need Help With a probability problem!!?
hi everybody
i have taken this problem from "probability, random variables and stochastic processes" by Papoulis. i didn't understand the use of conditional probability in this problem i mean we can solve it directly (or so i guess) without it and why the sum of all p(Am)=1 since we know nth about Am rather than "a set of randomly chosen elements" i mean we must ensure that all Am are exclusive to use this result which can't be the case acc to the statement of the problem .......i m really puzzled i would appreciate any help from all of u !!!
