  • 10months old sleep while sucking on the breast... have to return to work soon :|?

My boy sleeps only while sucking on the breast!! I have to return to work on 30th of this month. While I'll be at work, he will be with my mom. He refuses to take the bottle since I've returned from a vacation 1 month back.

I left him with my mom yesterday for 3 hours. He was joyful the first hour and then he wanted to sleep. My mom tried giving him the bottle but he refused and refused, again and again!! He cried bitterly and finally he fell asleep :(

I am worried about how will it work out after I return to work :(

    Any advice appreciated...

  • 10months old refusing bottle :( :(( Please help!!?

    Hi

My boy just turned 10 months today. He was always breastfed with exceptions while we were out. He never refused the bottle ever before until I stupidly stopped giving him bottles while we were on a vacation for around 5 weeks (3rd Nov - 13th Dec). I just did not have the time for the bottles and nursing was easier and I loved breastfeeding him anyway. Now that I am back, he just doesn't want to drink from the bottles. My parental leave ends on the 29th January and I have to go back to work on the 30th! While I am at work, he is going to be with my mom. But I just don't know what to do.

Just fyi, he does take solid foods.

Any tricks, techniques & tips would be highly appreciated :)

  • Breastfeeding.. please help :( :(( :(((?

My son is 4.5 months old. I have been breastfeeding him 90% of the time. He was given formula only if i was out or I had guests over. The past month was very busy for me and you can say breast n formula was 50-50. My boy has suddenly stopped latching on to my breast for the past three days. I expressed thrice in these three days. My milk supply is almost nil! I want to continue breastfeeding my baby :(

I am so depressed. I can't sleep well. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Why do you think he suddenly stopped latching? :s

What can I do to make him take the breast again?

I am going to rent a pump today itself for sure. But I want him to latch!! I want to give him breast milk at least for another year!!! I would like to continue giving him formula when required. Just as I mentioned, approximately 90% breast milk n 10% formula. That is what I want!

  • 32 weeks 5 days pregnant... need to know a few things about labor?

    Hi

Can any one tell me what does baby dropping mean? How do I know it has happened?

What does it mean by the water breaking?? What happens? How?? :S

How does the contractions begin? What do they feel like?? urrrrgh :s

What does terms like dilated and effaced mean?

I am sorry. I know I can google it all. But I felt this is a better option.

This is my first pregnancy and I have no clue about labor. I decided not to know about it until getting closer to my due date. I am just so soo sooo scared!!

  • Big day off for Dads?

I was just wondering do most companies allow the dad to take the day off from work on the day the baby is born?? I am located in Mississauga, Ontario.

My hubby is worried. He wants it off at any cost!! LoL :)

I hope there is some law.

  • Hey.. any one around 31 weeks?? How does it feel?

I am exactly 31 weeks today. The journey is getting rough by the passing of each day. I feel as if my belly weighs a tonne!! I can't stand for more than 10 minutes neither can I sit for longer than 15 minutes!!

Adjusting with a proper sleeping position was never as difficult a task. I need pillows all around me :|

The only thing that makes me happy and excited is my little angel's movements.... the transition is great! I can feel the hiccups too :D I just love playing with my baby already. He pokes me n sometimes I poke him back... LoL! It is just so cute... :)

    Ouch! He just kicked! :D

I just can't wait for March... I just want my baby in my arms... I want to be a Mommy :D

I have been extremely tired for since last week. I am pretty sure that is normal for the last trimester. But it is annoying :|

Nowadays my hubby and I keep on thinking about nice names. I just want my baby to have a dimple! There is no one in our families who's got dimples. But I so badly want this one feature... lol :) I love dimples!!!!

I wonder how the baby will look. Will he make me stay awake all night long or will he be a nice nice baby?! LoL!! I am sure majority of the babies are night owls. Lucky parents get well routined babies ;)

Well, overall, I just want my baby to come right on the 37th week so that it is full term... I hope I am not being mean by wanting him to arrive earlier than 40weeks.... 37th week is a full term baby anyway :)

So do you all feel at this stage?

  • 29 weeks 2 days pregnant... please advise (re-post) I hope to get answers this time! :(?

    Hi

I am 29 weeks 2 days pregnant with my first. I want to know how bad is my diet.

Until a couple weeks back, my diet was as follows:

I have 3 glasses of chocolate milk (I simply hate white milk)

    1 cup of yogurt

    1 slice of cheddar cheese

    1 or 2 bananas

Apart from these things, I just have my regular meals which may include rice, tortillas (whole wheat flour), chicken, beans, potatoes, mutton mince etc.

Now, I know my diet is not good at all. I am having a horrible time with my appetite too.

I have milk. Loads of milk. I have yoghurt and cheese too. I know my calcium intake is very much fine. But other nutrients and totally not present in my diet.

I am taking prenatal vitamins (Pregvit) regularly.

My diet basically includes chicken cooked in oil with onions, tomatoes and spices.

For breakfast, I have started to take cereals - frosted flakes - since a couple days. Earlier I used to have one banana and a chicken mayo sandwich.

For lunch and dinner, it is mostly chicken that I have. I have horrible snacks - potato chips, biscuits, ice cream, chocolates. Nothing nutritious at all. No beans, no nuts, no seeds, no fruits, no veggies!!

The worst is that I know I am not having a good diet. I know I will have a terrible time. My doctor told me my blood count has dropped too. Though she says its normal, I don't even trust her words!!!

I want to know what are the consequences of my terribly horrible diet. How will it affect me, my baby and the birth process?

I swear, I desperately need motivation to get back to a better diet. I am totally puzzeled and depressed because I know I am wrong but I can't get myself to change it for the good :(

I so need to hear something that will make me opt for better and healthier food choices.

  • Almost 28 weeks pregnant and not getting enough rest (please do answer)?

I am not getting enough rest. What can this lead to?

Last night I was so tired that I ended up crying. While I laid on my bed, I could feel the baby moving and kicking all over. I just wanted him to S T O P!! I just wanted peace and rest. I did not want my baby to disturb me. Gosh! I know that is mean, but this is the first time I felt so. I feel guilty of wanting my baby to not "disturb" me :(

I have been very tired for the past week and definitely not getting enough rest. We have also moved to a new apartment last week. I have been terribly stressed and tired. I have work, where I have to sit all day long and doing almost nothing. I can't get myself to work any longer :(

My maternity leave shall begin mid-January.

So basically, what can such a condition lead to? Can stress on head and lack of rest lead to a premature baby? Can it hurt my baby if I am tired? What are the other consequences of not getting enough rest.

    Appreciate your answers...

    Regards :)

  • 27 weeks 5 days Pregnant... please tell me this is normal :(?

    Hi

I am 27 weeks 5 days into my pregnancy and have been noticing I can't stand or walk for too long. My feet start to pain as if they are carrying the heaviest weight on earth!! I'd say I can at the most walk or stand for roughly 30-45mins and then I just can't go on. I sit for a while and try again, but the feet feel the same. I've tried on two pairs of shoes. One of these never gave me any problems and one of the pairs is new.

I need to hear this is normal during pregnancy and will be perfectly fine after the birth :(

I am just 23 years old and can't imagine living with this problem for the rest of my life!! :(

  • Repost of my second question, I so hope I get some answers this time. Please help!?

Belly feels VERY heavy!! 25 weeks 3 days pregnant

I am tall and have always been well figured before the pregnancy. I have the baby bump obviously and my belly feels too heavy! I have troubles with finding myself a comfortable position to lay down. I also have shortness of breath and a very weird pain on the sides of my upper body. This pain starts from the sides of my breasts and goes all the way down till just a little above the hips. It is mild, but it does bother and is totally uncomfortable.

    Is this normal?

What can I do for these issues?

I am totally frustrated knowing that I have 15 more weeks to go! Dealing with all of it is getting on to my nerves already!!!

    Hi

I am 25 weeks 3 days pregnant. My ribs pain terribly. It pains more on the left side and at the top of the ribs and just below the breast (And because it is too high, I believe it can't be the baby). It gets horrible while I am sitting. It seems like I just can't sit or stand for more than 30mins continuously. I am so exhausted all the time. My work requires me to sit 90% of the time. I just can't take it any more :(

I am so frustrated and depressed :(

Is there anyone else who feels the same? Is this pain normal? I can't get over my frustration :(

When I talk to my hubby (he's out of town) I just keep complaining about this. He says the body is going through a physical change and things like this will happen. He says I am over reacting :(

I so can't tolerate it any more :(

I have an appointment with my family physician tomorrow. I don't think he will be of much help though :(

My next appointment with OB/GYN is on 23rd Dec :(

  • 23 weeks 5 days pregnant - Baby movement reduced :(?

I have noticed my baby does not move as often as it used to :(

    I am extremely worried!

I don't even think I've felt it move even once today.

Normally, when I am lying down it moved a lot. Last night the baby did move and kick me but not as many times as it usually does.

I am extremely worried. Please help me. Please advise on what could be the reason. Is it normal? Or shall I talk to my doctor asap??
