Looking to open a Japanese bank account...?
I am currently in Japan on a working holiday wishing to open up a new bank account, switching from the JP Post I have now.
My main requirements are:
-Online banking for easy money transferring to accounts back home
-Free or low cost bank accounts ( I won't be using it too much)
-Good choices for credit cards, again free or low cost, preferably ones with rewards for using it to travel.
-Full English service
-International ATM service, especially in southeast asia

3 AnswersVancouver10 years agoCanadian in Japan Income tax Question?
Ok, so here is the situation.
I am a canadian citizen currently working in Japan on a working holiday visa.
In 2011, I worked in Canada from January to late May, income before taxes totalling about $12 000.
Now that I am in Japan, with tax season coming up (and god knows I could use the refund) is there a way to file my Canadian income tax form here in Japan?
I am not planning to go back to Canada until at least June 2012, but possibly until June 2013.
Is it possible to file the tax return the following year? or possibly by family?
Thanks in advance

7 AnswersJapan10 years agoOrbitz just changed my travel itinerary to Taipei?
Hello
I booked a trip from Vancouver BC to Taipei, then from Taipei to Tokyo, then Tokyo to Vancouver BC a month ago. I got an email from them 2 days ago claiming that they have changed the trip itinerary.
The Original itinerary had me arriving in Narita airport at 2:30 local time and departing from Narita at 6:25 local time. Now, I have to go from Narita airport to Haneda airport, where my flight to Taipei Sung Shan Airport leaves at 6:25 local time.
I'm a Canadian Citizen going on a working visa and was wondering if this is enough time to get from one airport to the other with the traffic, customs, and possible minor flight delays in mind.
If you've done this before, let me know how it went.
Also, do I have to physically pick up all my luggage from Narita and carry it over to Haneda myself or will this be all taken care of? I am flying with Japan Arilines.
I'm just worried now because 2 years ago, I flew to Shanghai in a similar situation where I ended up missing my connection.
Thanks in advance

1 AnswerCanada1 decade agoGrand Marnier Souffle Problem?
Hi, I have been trying to make a grand marnier souffle but it always comes out lopsided. I have toiled with the amount of egg whites and grand marnier to no avail.
At first, I thought it was sticking to the ramekin but thats not the case.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?
FYI, the souffle batter is Milk and Flour based with egg yolks.
I bake it at 315F on high fan
Thanks for your input!
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoHow much money should I pay an accountant to file my personal tax return In BC?
I am a single student with about $15000 income.
I understand that I should get 100% of income tax deducted back.
But since I am a trade apprentice, I know there are lots of trade specific tax breaks and what not.
Is it worth the extra money to file it through an accountant just to get a few more extra dollars?
