  • Everyone ready for two years of absolutely nothing happening?

The republicans control the house, the liberals control the senate, and both are to polarized to agree on anything. American politics just became mind nubingly boring

  • Doesn't the term "supernatural" imply non-existence?

there is no "supernatural" everything is either natural or manufactured, and no one is claiming that ghosts are a human invention. even if they do exist (which is unlikely) than they are natural, but without human explanation, for example, gravity wasn't a supernatural force before Isaac Newton figured it out. sorry about the rant, just thought of this today and wanted to b*tch about it

  • does the formation of the tea party give Democrats a better chance at getting their presedent in?

I mean the Democrat/Republican vote was split pretty close, with the introduction of a third party the vote will now split 3 ways, but I cannot seriously see liberals going and voting for the tea party, it seems that the republican party just got divided into two, less threatening entities. thoughts?

  • are atheists and agnostics really that different?

first of all, there are no (or very few) atheists that say that they know there is no god, we mearly say that we do not believe in them, agnostics just say that they have no idea if gods exist, seriously? that's the same damn stance. Just thought I'd clear that up after reading a bunch of comments by agnostics saying that "atheists say that they know there is no god" which is bullsh!t. and since I need to ask a question for this to be valid, what is your favorite colour?

  • is this logical proof against a god?

first of all, is god infinite, meaning has he always existed? if no, than he would of either been created by a greater power than himself, who in turn would have needed to be created ect. which is a needless series of events to follow as something had to be first (see below) or appeared by cosmic accident and carried on to create existence, which is in direct opposition to occam's razor as cosmic accident directly creating existence is much simpler and thus much more likely. If god is infinite than he cannot logically exist as the universe is a finite product as it has a beginning. true infinity stretches forever in both directions, in this case, forwards and backwards in time. if we as the universe have a beginning, than an infinite god would have existed FOREVER (capitals used for emphasis) before creating the universe, which makes absolutely no sense mathematically, and therefore is an impossibility. any thoughts?

  • How do you "know" your god exists?

when every other believer says that they "know" that their god exists. does anyone actually believe that people living in classical greece did not have the same feelings that you do about your god, but about Apollo. For a more modern example, both muslims and christians "know" that they are right, one (if not both) must logically be wrong, does it ever cross your mind that maybe you are, and not the other guy?

  • How much did Jesus really sacrifice?

I mean, he got crucified, spent a measly three days in hell (whereas acording to christians I'll spend an eternity), then got resurected and shot strait up to paradise to live as the son of the most powerful being in the universe and be worshiped constantly, if thats sacrifice sign me the hell up.

  • Can I transfer songs off of my Ipod onto my PC?

my computer got a virus and all of my songs were deleted, and I really dont want to have to download them all again. All of my songs are on my current Ipod, but I want to get a classic and I need to transfer the songs onto my computer and then into the new Ipod. Is there a way to do this or am I just expecting the impossible?

  • Why Don't Religious People Kill Themselves?

I'm not trying to troll, I am being serious here. If people truly in there hearts believe that after death they go to a place of unimaginable happiness, why dont they try and get there as quickly as possible? even if it is a sin (not sure if it is or not, probably varies by religion) you would immdiately be forrgiven for it because you are a true believer. and as a double bounus you would leave the atheists alone on the planet to do as they wish, which would make them happy. Oh, and no "god has a plan for me" crap, he gave you free will and cannot blame you for using it, that's just taking the cowards way out.

Bhuddists and Hindus are exempt from this question as they believe in reincarnation

  • how come the bible is only true when people want it to be?

like for examplethe bible is undenyable in the fact that homosexuality is a sin, but when "god" says for example quite clearly that you can enslave other nations, or that women are nothing but men's servants than all of a sudden "god" didnt really mean it

  • Is Christmas really about Jesus anymore?

I figure its more of just a day to give presents eat food and be around your family, the way it was meant to be celebrated by the good ol' Pegans before the christians stole it to make their rather pathetic religeon look not so horrible. any thoughts? (this'll be good)
