  • GP vs Specialty Fee Schedule?

I am a medical biller and my boss keeps telling me there is a different fee schedule for specialist than for general providers. I have never heard of anything like that before. Can anyone tell me if there is? Or if there are different allowable amounts depending on the type of provider? TIA

  • If I quit my job today, can I request my 2011 w2?

I though I read a few months ago that if you quit your job before the end of the year, you could request your w2 and they had to give it to you within 30 days. Does anyone know anything about this? Do you have a creditable website I could possibly read up on it? I would like to show some sort of statement to my employer before she starts off with more bs she thinks is true. TIA

  • Black mold and landlord help??

We just rented this cute little house and moved in last week. The next day I started having a horrible allergic reaction to something in this house. I am breaking out in hives, itching all over my body and my joints have been swelling in the wrists, shoulders and knees. I am absolutely miserable right now. I talk to the previous renters and they said they had told the landlord there was black mold in the basement. I looked and sure enough there is some down there.

I called the landlord and he says that he cleaned it up with bleach and then painted over it. I know that is not the right way to clean up a black mold problem. He then told me that with the washer and dryer down there and the moisture from them there is going to be mold and there is nothing that can be done about it. And that there isn't enough mold to do any harm. I am very upset about this. I have an appt with an allergist next week. I have 2 young children and want to keep them safe.

What should I do about this problem here. It doesn't seem like the landlord is willing to help with this?

  • My 5 yr old doesn't sleep, I need advice and help?

My 5 yr old son doesn't go to sleep until about 12-1 am every night, then he is up as soon as the sun comes up. He stopped taking naps just before he turned 2. Currently he is getting about 4-6 hrs of sleep within a 24 hr period. We have talked to his doctor about and he said to try melatonin. It works to help him get to sleep a few hrs earlier. However, I don't like using it for more than a couple weeks at a time, since I have heard that it is suppose to help get your body into a sleep routine. However, the first night we stop it, he is staying up really late again. He is in school from 8:15 am to 5 pm Monday-Thursday and 1-5 pm on Fridays. I stay at home and care for my 2 yr old son during the day when my 5 yr old is at school. My 2 yr old does still take a nap, but then that is the time I am trying to get my school work done.

Needless to say I am not getting much sleep. I am uncomfortable going to bed before he is sleeping and prefer to wake up before he does. He usually wakes me up as soon as he wakes up sometime around 6am. My husband use to allow me to sort of catch up on the weekends when he wasn't at work. He is now deployed and not able to give me that time anymore. It has been 2 months and I just going through the motions to get through the day because I am so tired and he never seems to be tired.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help this? Anything I can try? I have talked to his doctors and they don't seem to be much of a help. We have a set bedtime routine (bath, potty, brush teeth, read 2 stories and then bedtime, his bedtime is 9pm. He doesn't get any sweats at home, we don't even have them in the house. He also doesn't eat very much, but doesn't seem to want to eat much either. I am exhausted and need some help. TIA

  • Help, I itch all over the place?

For almost 2 wks now, I have been itching everywhere. It starts in the mornings on my hands and feet and then spreads to all over (my legs, arms, back, belly, etc.) It is driving me crazy. I have been putting lotion on every few hours hoping it was just dry skin. I took an Aveeno itch relief bath and then put more lotion on. It has been about 2 hrs since and my hands are starting to itch again. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

  • Car won't start with high outside temp, any ideas?

My car won't start when the outside temp is over 85 degrees. All the lights and power comes on, but it doesn't turn over. They have replaced the starter twice believing that was the problem. But, it obviously isn't the problem. Is there anything else that could be causing this? If we tap on the starter with something or pour water on it then tap it, then it will usually start. We are stumped along with the 2 dealerships we have been working with on this. Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

  • WOW causing problems with family?

My husband is addicted to wow. I am wanting to know what it is about this game that makes him want to play it more than play with his own kids. We have 2 little boys 4 yr old and a 9 month old. What is it that is apparently so important that he is missing out on our kids doing things and not wanting to spend time with me?

I also want to know what I can do to get him off the game. I have tried deleting it of the computer, I can't turn the internet off cause I need it for school. He works, so he pays his $15/mo. What can I do to get him to not play so much? He is missing out on so much and doesn't even see a problem. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

  • What precautions do I need to take for ring worm?

My 3 yr old and I have ring worm. Mine is on my temple and his is on his neck. I don't know where we got it from and my baby doesn't have it. I started to put yeast infection cream on it until we could see the doctor and it started to go away. I need to know if I need to be disinfecting things and washing out bedding everyday.

Please let me know. I would hate for the baby to get it or it come back.
