  • Everybody: Why do people delete their questions?

It's happened to me five times in the last three days. When go back to check the status of a question I find it's been deleted.

I don't want to jump to the conclusion that it's a Christian only activity (on such a small data set), but so far all deletions have been by fundamentalist Christians, and most were about evolution. While I'm glad you're asking questions about science, If you know you're not ready to deal with the answer, then maybe it's not time to ask.

I often spend a lot of time on my replies (occasionally I even dig out some of my old text-books to help explain) and watching my detailed, well researched responses vanish into the ether only makes me more inclined to write shorter, nastier responses.

So Christians and atheists. Which team does it more? and if you do it can you give a good reason why other peoples work should be deleted?
