  • Help losing a stone or so?

    Hey all,

so I currently weight about 12 stone 2, or around that, but before Christmas last year I weighed around 11 stone - I've put on a stone since then and I wanna lose it, my issues are that I'm fairly restricted in what exercises I can do because I have problems with my knees, I've lost 4 stone before (I was 15, got down to 11) by simply dieting and cutting calories etc. but that doesn't seem to be working anymore, and my body isn't responding to it - does anyone have any advice?

    Thanks

  • Connection time at Charles De Gaulle?

    Hey guys,

So on the 9th October I'm flying from Newcastle, England to JFK and connecting in Charles De Gaulle in Paris - my scheduled flight is meant to leave Newcastle with CityJet at 6:25am and arrive in Charles De Gaulle at 9:15am - and then I fly to JFK with Air France at 10:35am. I fly into Terminal 2E of Charles De Gaulle and out of Terminal 2E, and I'm only taking carry on luggage.

Will 1 hour 20 minutes be enough time to get off the plane at Paris then onto another plane to leave for New York? I've heard that Charles De Gaulle is a bad airport, is this true?

    Thanks,

    Adam

  • United States Borders and Customs?

    Hey,

So I'm a little concerned about something - my girlfriend is currently studying at La Salle University in Philadelphia and I'm living in the UK, and I'm able to go over every couple of months or so, so I went over in June, then August and I'm going back in October and January - someone mentioned it to me and now I'm worried that US Borders and Customs will flag up that I'm visiting every couple of months and start to question it - is this likely? I tend to fly either into PHL or JFK, depending on what ticket prices are like at the time.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Adam

  • Gonna go to the gym, advice?

Alright so I'm gonna join a gym on saturday and I plan to go fairly often, 4 times a week at least - I wanna tone up and get ripped, I'm not fat now but I have a bit of stomach fat that needs to go - could someone advise a routine and times/reps of each weight/cardio training to get ripped and get a sort of lean, ripped look?

  • How to tone up after losing weight?

So I lost 3 and a half stone-ish over the past year, and wanna tone up - I've been doing a bit of cardio, also sit ups, push ups and plan to start lifting weights - I feel better in myself and have noticed a difference. Like I'm not fat anymore, but I am out of shape and need to tone up a little - anyone got any advice? I don't really wanna join a gym as I have no confidence so things I can do in my own house would be great!

Hey guys, so over the past year I've lost 4 stone (56 pounds) but over the past couple of months I can't seem to drop below the 10'11 (155 pounds) mark, I usually hover around that area, I'm 5ft10ish, any ideas how I could move things along a bit?

  • Lamb leather jacket got wet?

Hey guys, so I bought a lambskin leather jacket from Pretty Green the other day and was wearing it yesterday when I was out, unfortunately in typical British fashion it started absolutely p!ssing it down and the jacket got drenched and now has creases in it and the leather has hardened. Any ideas as to how I can get this back to normal? Otherwise it's £350 down the drain :(

  • Do I suit longer or shorter hair?

    Hey guys, so I've had long hair for a long time now, a couple of years at least, and decided to make the very rash decision of getting it all cut off and I'm not sure what to think, I don't like it at the minute but I dunno if that's just gonna be me getting used to having short hair. Check these pics out;

  • Should I pursue this girl?

So, I've recently became interested in a girl - however I know, through her best friend who I'm also friends with, that she's not looking for a relationship right now as she has some legitimate issues she needs to work out, which is cool, I don't mind waiting or anything. She's kind of poured her heart out to me about these issues, and said she doesn't know why she trusts me so much, she just does - and last time I was out with her she kept telling me that a doorman and a DJ in a nightclub asked her if I was her boyfriend. Also whenever she talks to me about other guys she'll add 'But I'm not interested in them or anything' at the end. I kinda like this girl, and would happily wait around til she's got herself sorted out, does it sound worth it judging from what I've said above? Could anything happen do you think?

  • So I kinda need help?

So I'm gonna warn you guys, this is gonna sound ridiculous and maybe a little cheesy.

Recently I got talking to this girl, we used to go to the same university but situations arose and now we don't - so recently I strike up conversation with her and we get talking, she was telling me about some problems she has going on right now and such and with us not knowing each other too well, I didn't think it'd impact me - but it did, I actually really feel bad for this girl, and wanna help her anyway I can - I've found myself thinking about her more and more, which is weird cause as previously stated I barely know her. I don't know where to proceed with this, or why I'm acting like I've known her my entire life! Any suggestions?

So I've been getting into Jimi Hendrix lately, and have a couple of live albums, was wondering if you guys could recommend me some studio albums based on my musical preferences, I'm into bands like Led Zeppelin, GN'R, AC/DC, Aerosmith etc. so I guess sort of blues rock, may be the best to go? I like the standard Hendrix songs such as Highway Chile, Voodoo Child, Purple Haze, Wild Thing etc. and wanna dig further into his discography :) any suggestions?

  • Selling my Les Paul, what should I get as a replacement?

Hey all, so I'm selling my Gibson Les Paul studio with Slash Alnico pickups (Selling because I prefer the SG feel, which I bought recently) and was wondering what a good replacement for hard rock would be, IE, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith etc. I was thinking about the EVH Wolfgang Special? Anyone got any suggestions?

  • Fender Telecaster '72 Custom?

    Hey all,

    I'm considering getting a Fender Telecaster 72 Custom (http://www.jgwindows.com/products/0717669018962.ht... to add to my guitar collection. I've been after a Tele for a while, and think that adding a Fender to what I have now (Gibson LP, Gibson SG) would add a new dimension to my sound. I've played around with this one, and it's pretty hot - however was wondering if anyone had played it through a Marshall (Mode Four to be precise) as the store I'm getting it at only stocks Fender amps. I'm after a Keith Richards style tone, that sort of music so pretty sure this is the Tele to go for (or so I've been told) So to summarise;

    1. Anyone played a Fender Telecaster '72 Custom through a Marshall, if so, how does it sound?

    2. What did you think of the guitar as a whole?

  • Little help...am I gay?

Hey guys, I'm a 20 year old male - and I'm a little confused...I don't think I'm gay, but a little incident earlier tonight has made me think, earlier tonight for a brief time (5-10 seconds) I fantasized about a guy, and felt, shall we say, a little tingle down below. Now I've never felt any emotional attachment beyond friendship for guys, where I have with girls - and I'm still attracted to girls, but this isn't the first time I've briefly fantasized about a guy, it doesn't happen often though, but where I'm not romantically attracted to guys, as in I wouldn't wanna date a guy, I am romantically attracted to girls.

    Is this normal?

  • Ok guys, help a guy out?

So I'm like, no exagerration, head over heels for this girl. I can't stop thinking about her. I've known her since we were kids, and we had a 'thing' a while back - and we're pretty close now..Only she says she's a lesbian. But I'm convinced it's just a phase. She's openly admitted to being jealous of previous girlfriends I've had, and she's got with guys when she's drunk before. She also tells me that she loves me and things would be perfect if either A) I was female, or B) she wasn't a lesbian.

I've tried to get over her, but I can't. Help me out guys, what do I do?

  • My band are often compared to Velvet Revolver and Bon Scott Era AC/DC?

So, I'm in a hard rock band - and often after live gigs people come up to us and say we have the same vibe and style as Velvet Revolver and Bon Scott Era AC/DC. This isn't something I can take lightly, I'd happily drop everything else to carve a career in the music business. My question is, where do we go from here? We're an entirely original band btw, we don't do any covers. Whats the next step after the 'gigging' phase?
