Rash all over body? Itchy everywhere? Not chicken pox?
I just started working as a nursing assistant, I've always had quite sensitive skin but after working in this job for around a week now literally everywhere is itchy my hands, arms, shoulders, jaw? Which is a weird one, chest, everywhere. I have a rash especially on my wrists that is small red dots that stings a lot, it spreads up my arms and onto my face. It is crazy itchy. I know it won't be anything serious but I'd like to know what it is? It isn't my eczema because I know what that looks like on me. What do you think is causing it just so I can avoid these things if possible. My uniform is still fresh as in I have a few smocks I've just been taking out the packet to wear new, do you think the typical smock material/what it was possibly washed in is causing it? The alcohol wash and constant hand washing is probably causing the hand stuff but are there any non greasy sensitive hand creams anyone can recommend? Or washing powders I can use to make my smocks comfy to wear? Just anything really thank you!
5 AnswersSkin Conditions5 years agoBlack marks on dogs gums?
I'm more curious than concerned. My dog has black marks all over his gums and has had them since we got him. He is our first dog and we adopted him when he was 6, I just want to know what a normal healthy dog mouth looks like so when something is wrong I know straight away. I'm only asking because he has a front tooth missing and we don't know why it has been taken out so naturally we are curious. It is possible it was an infected tooth so I want to know if his gums are ok so if he ever has any other dental problems I know. The black marks look like normal markings but my dogs from home do not have gums like this, does this just vary from dog to dog?
7 AnswersDogs5 years agoBroken boiler & flooded kitchen?
So this morning I woke up to a nice big pool of water in the middle of the kitchen, our boiler was also broken with a reading of 0.0 and flashing, last night it was on 0.4, which means that it wasn't working properly last night but the heating was working and the hot water, but it obviously broke sometime between 2am and 6am, the pool of water doesn't have any noticeable tracks as to where it came from because we live in a **** student terrace house with uneven wooden flooring across the ground floor, I'm suspecting it came from the boiler though so what does this mean if this is the case? How much will it cost to fix or since it is a rented property will we have to pay to fix it? I have work from 8am until 8pm for the next 3 days and my fiancé is not in the county. So I really really need to get it fixed asap and will probably have to take a day off work. The boiler is a Glowworm boiler, it does not have a visible flame so I really have no idea how it works. What is wrong with the boiler and is there anything we can do ourselves without having to call out the boiler repair man? We reset it twice and nothing is working. Its ******* freezing and nothing is working, I can't wash my uniform, shower or anything. It's an absolute nightmare. What is wrooonngggg help pleaaaseee
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs5 years agoCan I give my dog Zantac (rapidol)?
My dog has been licking his lips and the air since 6am this morning, we took him out for a walk, then came back, he was okay then started doing it again, then he threw up, it was white a frothy. He is still licking his lips and air, I've seen many things about giving dogs zantac but I don't want to harm him in anyway. Obviously I will take him to the vet if he carries on this way into the afternoon and evening, we have zantax rapidol and so far I have crushed up the tiniest bit of one tab into some cheese. I haven't given him it yet and I won't if I shouldn't. Rpaidol contains phycodol. He is a 12kg patterdale mix if that helps
8 AnswersDogs5 years agoAdvice on travelling photography?
I'm going to India in October and would like to take great pictures on my phone. I don't just want random blurry shots I take walking down the street trying to take a picture of everything. I have an iPhone 5s and my Instagram is private to me (I just like to have it to save my best photos) I'm not totally inexperienced but I want to just take incredible pictures of india for my Instagram, I'm only mentioning Instagram because I like the simplistic style it is all set out in and just so you have an idea of the style I'm going for. I just don't want a million rubbish pictures that don't represent what I see. I know loads of people take really amazing pictures using their iphones and other phones (my fiance also has a Samsung j5). I guess what I'm asking is are there any devices that attach to the phones or software or just anything that helps me capture the whole experience.
3 AnswersPhotography5 years agoTips on travelling to new Delhi?
Hello, me and my fiance are travelling to new Delhi, we have booked our accom and flights. We have a few questions and would really appreciate any help!
1) how much spending money should we take? We have already tallied up the amount for the sights and excursions, we re talking mainly food, fabrics, spices, and souvenirs. We were thinking 50,000 rupees? We could take more but we have no idea how much we should take. We are planning on mainly eating street food and the occasional meal out (we are both veggie)
2) what about travel? How much is a taxi to places/chauffer? What is the cheapest and safest way around new Delhi and how do we organise this and is it easy to do? Our accom can provide this but we don t know as an estimate how much this may cost?
3) how should I dress? I am a female, I want to be respectful but also take advantage of the sun!
4) are tattoos frowened upon? I have some large ones on my ankles and legs, again I just don t want to offend anyone and some areas are quite conservative.
5) this is a long shot but I am wondering if there are any exceptionally beautiful natural swimming spots in or around new Delhi? But any suggestions of just general beautiful natural spaces and vews would be great!
6) any advice? Ways to stay safe. I m a little worried as you do hear some stories but nonetheless very optimistic
7) are there any festivals to attend this time of year? Or special events worth attending? We are going Oct 20 - November 3rd
Thanks for any help!
