I current have an Acer AM5802-E9132 desktop PC. Stock from Best Buy.

Currently has the Geforce GT 220 video card.

I am looking to upgrade my video card. And was looking at the GTX 460, and GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB GDDR5.

Would I be able to buy either of those video cards and instal them in my current computer without needing to buy a new power supply?

If not, do you have any video card recommendations that are decent upgrades for under $200, and will not require a new PSU?

I want to get Battlefield 3 for the xbox 360. I know that 99% of all xbox games require xbox live gold subscription in order to play online. Since BF3 will be an online game only, im wondering if EA/Origin will allow xbox 360 users to play for free online through their servers without a gold subscription service?

I currently have the Acer Aspire AM5801-E9132

It currently has the Nvidia GT 220 graphics card (1gb) stock

I am considering upgrading this graphics card. Would I be able to easily instal a new higher end graphics card, and not have to worry about getting additional power supplys and things like that? Using a simple google search, I could not find out what stock power supply comes with my PC, so I cannot figure it out on my own.

Im not super tech savvy, and I havent installed any hardware manually before... Any tech savvy people here recommend or not recommend what I should do?

I just recently purchased the Ontario RTAK II survival knife. It came out of the box pretty dull. I currently do not own any high-end sharpening systems. But I do have a crappy little $6 sharpening stone I bought a flea market years ago. Obviously, down the road, I plan on getting a worthy sharpening system. For now, is using that cheap stone going to be okay, or will it ruin the knife? I tested it a little bit on the bottom inch of the blade, and it sharpens really quickly and easily. I just want to make sure I wont ruin my knife sharpening the entire blade with it.

Keeping the 20 degree angle might also be difficult.

I just got Siberia v2 headphones. I don't believe they are surround sound but in windows 7 config settings I can choose between stereo, quad, 5.1 and 7.1. Which should I go with for gaming? Specifically starcraft 2. I tested 5.1 and heard nothing under subwoofer. I hear all 4 sounds with quad. Should I stay on quad or just select stereo? Thanks.

Can anyone please present to me:

why the game is 'bad', or what makes it 'bad'?

If it will help, I am a former MMO player, having played EQ1, CoH (very briefly), and WoW (for many years, doing all max-level end game raiding and PvP). The thing I did not like about CoH was no flight until level 20+, and no 'gear'/inventory.

-I dont like repetative grinding of MMOs, specifically during leveling/questing. I am in it only for the end-game content (thus my appeal of only level 30 cap in DCU)

- I am a 'casual' player and will only have a couple hours a few nights a week to play, so probably will be leaning more towards PvP end-game content over raiding.

Do you think DCU is right for me, based on my previous mmo experiences and interests?

I have a fairly new/decent comp. I want to know if I can run DC universe beautifully on it, on fairly high settings or not.

Quad core processor - 2.4s or 2.6s I think.

8 gig Ram - (running windows 7 lol)

1gb video card - this was stock with the desktop I bought at bestbuy, I dont know the specific internal stats/speeds on it, but im guessing its not a super high end one.

It is an Acer, if that makes any difference.

Im sure that exceeds the recommended and minimum system requirements... But can I run the game on a relatively high or decent setting?

A friend of mine told me in history this one person conquered a city, and had 10,000 or so 'prisoners'. He could not let them go, because they would surely rally and attack him again. And he did not want to kill them, because the conquered city would rebel... So he ended up personally blinding each and every one of them.

I think eventually he may have committed suicide after the matter.

This probably took place way back in time.
